    You have 15,000 friends?
What body of water would a dog be in that they couldn't swim? Because I'm assuming an owner would know if their dog could swim and wouldn't stick them in a place where they wouldn't be able to swim to shore?
Are we talking in the middle of an ocean?
Too many variables to have an opinion

I'd go for the dog. Hope the stranger can swim.
ALSO it's a known fact that if you try and help a drowning person and your not a good swimmer(I'm not) that person could panic and cause you to also drown....

    Dog...

Explain what variables?? keep it simple..

The is a stranger and your dog who are both drowning.. One can only assume both will die if you dont save them and you must choose who to save.. does that help??

Save my dog, of course. I don't know the stranger and I don't know if he or she is some kind of psycho, stalker, pedo, creep. Best not to save people you aren't sure are worth saving. Err on the side of caution and all that. :)

could be a deep puddle of water.. don't think too deep into it.. i could give 100 reasons a dog who can swim would drown.. bottom line is both will drown and both will die who do you attempt to save..

Hmmm, that is a hard moral decision. I mean, I love my dogs with all my heart, but that stranger could be a mother, father, son or daughter. That person might be all someone has left on the earth. That person could be loved and needed. I don't think I could live with myself if I had the opportunity to save, lets say a Mom and didn't, and now her children have to grow up without the love and care of a Mom. I hope to God I never have to make that call.

Deff my dog!! I live in florida... surrounded by water... if you live here & can't swim... well let's hope there's no water after death.

all you can do is go with your heart and gut instinct.. if you save your dog you know what type of animal you saved.. if you save a stranger you have no clue about them..

those that said only if it was a child?? would we know if that child was not the next serial killer to be??

I would answer that i am in the same boat.. for those that answer adult no but child yes makes me wonder.. the adult may be all a child has and is someones mother or father. now if it was an adult and child you save the child..
