Young, Male Pit Bull NEEDS HOME in SC! --FIDO rescue

Discussion in 'Rescue & Adoption' started by Bejammie, Apr 18, 2008.

I volunteer with a group called FIDO in Columbia SC. We are not a pit rescue, but we take them since other rescues immediately murder them. :(

Recently a lady contacted my vet manager and said she found a pit on the side of the road. She took him in, and has called him Jack for the last 3 weeks. His age is unknown, but probably less than 2 years, and he was found with a blue bandage and a catheter on his leg. She contacted all vets and clinics and rescues and put ads in the paper for his owner, and no one has claimed him. He is in good condition, and is being treated for demodectic mange right now. He is also neutered, UTD on shots, and on heartworm prevention. He gets along well with her other dogs and cats, but seems almost afraid of her little yappy dogs...lol.

He desperately needs a home, as she can't afford to keep him and is just fostering him for us. He is a love bug and needs a great home, especially after his weird circumstances. If you are interested in Jack please contact me through pitbull-chat.com. He will be microchipped upon adoption, as well.

We are VERY cautious about placing pits with the proper owners, so a home visit is required as well as the adoption contract. Please help us find this boy a home, no dog should be left without a family. :(

    Thank you,
    Allison S
