All the pittie and pibble comments ...ugh. "Angels with paws" ? Exactly the kind of people I want as far away from these dogs as possible.
Please tell me how that statement itself was an insult??? Fact is if you don't understand what your dog is capable of and insist that everyone owns them because they are easy going dogs that just love, love, love then you are more than likely going to end up with a problem. And unfortunately if you end up responsible for the inury or death of someone else's pet --or worse if you make excuses for HA-- due to sugar coating "pit bulls" then it reflects badly on the whole community.
I've heard it from outsiders all the time that they hate the kind of people who call their dogs "pibbles and "pitties" so its not just the people on this board or even just me lol.
so what if you were educated and fully aware of the possibilities that come with this breed BUT you call your dog a pibble and entertain the cute-er side of the breed? what is that? AN OXYMORON? A UNICORN?
While the use of "Pibble" et al and being well versed in the breed, are not mutually exclusive. The regularity of those well versed in the breed using those terms is minuscule in comparison to those who are all rainbows and butterflies, trying to soften the breeds image.I'm willing to assume that the tone of the post that offended you,was in deference to the well being of the breed, not an attack on the people using the term(s).
well be careful others may think you dont know anything about the breed because you pointed out the fact that it isnt mutually exclusive. My post was simply a light hearted read. That as usual per this forum gets over critical responses, like training and the facts about the breed. Shit just gets old, people need to live a little and stop making comparisons that dont apply.
