I believe you said the APBT is a guardian breed, and that those things ARE typical of dogfighters...correct me if I am wrong..

Breeding for conformation alone is what ruins dog. And this can be documented as fact by looking around and what has happened to dogs in many other breeds. Beagles can't hunt, Border Collies wouldn't know how to herd a cow or sheep if their life depended on it, Bull Terriers and German Shepherds are grotesquely deformed..........I could go on.

And that standard calls for gameness. It's the ultimate goal.

I have no problem with AmStaffs or even AmBullies.....as long as they go by their true names. And I would rather own an AST in the future than some crappily bred shell of what was at one time lovingly known as the APBT.

I do believe I have been insulted by saying it will be people like me that will be the end of the breed...so please, if you're going to reprimand me, you should also reprimand megc.

This has ran it's course as it has once again strayed off topic.
