    Day 5 of my captivity:

I bit into an exquisite ball of cream cheese and tasted something bitter. My captors are trying to poison me.

I am now refusing all food except that which can be licked to prevent ingesting their vile pills.:

Every morning they drag me from a warm bed. I am forced to endure 3 - 5 minutes of hard exercise in the cold. Oh the horror! The horror!:

They then thought to cast me aside to languish on a tortuously rock hard air mattress. I refused and they caved in to my whims:

See how they left me, unprotected from the elements! These people are little better than animals!:

I have gazed into the abyss and the abyss has gazed also into me.

Please send snacks...they're starving me as well.

I've got calls in to PETA and the HSUS for your abuse of that poor dog. You can see the horrors she's endured in her eyes.

Veronica thanks everyone for the well wishes and sympathy...it ain't easy being her!

I got it awhile ago so I'm not 100% certain...but it's either from PetCo., PetsMart or Pet Supplies Plus...those are the only places that I've ever bought beds from...(unless I ordered it from Doctors Fosters and Smith and I have a vague niggling of memory so that's also a possibility).

Unless you mean the white bed; in which case I just bought that and it definitely came from Pet Supplies Plus.

I took the week off. For the next 5 weeks I am working part time. Initially it was so I could come home in the middle of the day and do some PT w/ her, break up her day and check on her (despite that I went to all the trouble of setting up that elaborate x-pen system, getting a new smartphone (which I don't need and therefore never had) and having a friend set up a camera so I could check on her while I was away)...so after all this, my mother in the in-law apartment who "couldn't handle" a convalescing dog, says "what do you mean you're going to leave her alone, of course I'm taking her"...so it looks like she will be with Grammy when I go back to work (I didn't need that $400 anyway :no2::banghead:

You should have seen her when we picked her up after surgery...she looked like she was in shock!

LOL; Oh Grammy made sure I needlessly spent that $400 - just like she spends all my money. :no2:

Veronica continues to suffer with reasonably good grace; despite being allergic to her antibiotic and now having an inflammed...errrmmm....cootchie. (It never @#$%ing ends, does it?)

Oh no! Wow that's got to REALLY suck for her! Sorry to hear that she now has more pain to add to her list..what is she going to be on now?

When it rains it pours. On the bright side....you don't have to apply any cootchie soothing cream, do you? I can only imagine that thread!

For the time being...no cootchie soothing cream...although, forgive me if this is TMI but she has in the past had cootchie soothing cream. Apparently that's a...vulnerable spot for her. :dunno:

For the time being, this fresh hell is being addressed with benadryl.

Sasha is sending virtual kisses of sympathy... not cootchie kisses, just regular ones. ;)

    Oh...that's a shame.

Veronica doesn't like other dogs, but I think she may have made an exception for cootchie kisses.

    Don't judge her, she's an opportunist. ; )

Thanks for thinking of us Eddy!

We went to her regular vet yesterday because of course the surgeon taking out her staples today couldn't possibly have time to look at her cootchie!

Apparently she has a minor yeast infection and they gave us special cootchie wipes and spray for her paws.

Had the staples out today...so far so good...

I think I am in more pain that she is just from repeatedly picking her up and maneuvering her around!!

Glad to see Miss V is recovering well! :) She sure has endless amounts of blankets and beds, Zoey has one single large blanket that is also her bed haha.
