The way his front legs are easty-westy/down in the Pasterns.. Whatever the term is for how his front legs are, that's a huge pet peeve of mine.

What research did you put into this?

What about this particular breeding appealed to you?

Thanks to the person who commented last..i think some people on this site are abit obsessed with the "perfect" dog and can be quite picky.i am not looking for a show dog in anyway shape or form and no negative comments about the father would put me off as im the one whos seen him and theres only a couple of pic for people to see on here.as for his health and well being not looking good i think thats insulting to the owner tbh not every dog is supposed to look perfect lol perfect doesnt exsist! And this dog is an outdoor dog like i said.

i did ask what people thought but i didnt expect negative comments and it did annoy me abit the only people that commented didnt really have much good to say and jus seemed very picky...all pups are cute haha so there wasnt really much good said but i thank you all for the comments either way.

Why do you think having good, sound structure is only for "show dogs?"

Here's the thing, though. That dog looks sickly to me. Being outside isn't an excuse for being filthy or unhealthy. There's no reason for that if you're taking good care of your dog. The dog you posted appears to have an open wound on one of it's legs! I would think their care/health is suspect at the very least. That's why people are upset. It's very clearly a BYB, and no one here is going to be happy about you supporting one.

You are the one who asked for opinions...I was being honest and was being nice about it..being an outside dog has nothing to do with the condition and health of that dog looking that way...and he's not just a pet..if I'm buying from a breeder, his dogs better be in top noch health and condition. My pet dog better not look 100 xs better than his breeding stock. Why ask for opinions and get mad when you don't like what you hear?

What looks sickly or wrong with the male? Aside from the stated issues with his front legs. His eyes look clear, he looks pretty clean, he looks to be in good physical shape, I see no inflamed or infected looking anythings on him in the pictures, so I have to ask why you guys think he's unhealthy or sickly.
That little scrape is absolutely no concern and I'm not sure why it was included.

You misunderstand - it's not because we all want show dogs. Conformation standards are in place for a reason, it affects the health of the animal, it's quality of life, dogs who are down in the pasterns or other such issues are like that for a reason - weak tendons, bad joints, weak muscle, even skeletal deformities cause those major conformation 'flaws' and they all affect the dog in a negative way.

And off topic, but you're more likely to find dogs with these issues IN the show world. Unfortunately they're overlooked in some breeds. I find the real kicker is take a look at wild canines, nature has culled and made their conformation what it is. Humans are the ones breeding deformities and physically unsound dogs for show and personal taste. So it's truly not a finicky, picky, "gotta have perfect" thing with us, it's for the good of the dogs.

NOW, beautiful puppy, good luck!

What do u mean by not a fan of the sire ? :)

FYI, this post is why I elaborated. You posted pics of the sire. I noted vaguely (purposefully) that I wasn't a fan. I carefully chose my words so as NOT to insult the owner of the other dog as that's clearly not the intention of the thread. You requested that I elaborate. You shouldn't have asked if you didn't want to know or care.

I stated why I thought the dog looked rough.... and as I stated in the last post, this is just my opinion in what I would expect if I was buying a dog from a breeder... I would expect to see them in top noch condition.. that is just my personal opinion and preference.. others may not expect the same

He don't look all that rough to me. Aside from the front legs in the first picture he looks fine. That's not an open wound either, it looks like a scar that didn't grow hair back on it. And yes, living and working outside is an excuse for a dog's coat to not be as pretty and shiny as a house dog. You ought to see some of the mudballs I bring home from hunts. Wind, rain, contact with the elements it all adds up. Some folks need to realize that their cookie cutter standards don't apply the same to all.
