Who's going to Florida in Nov.

OK yall, who's going to Florida this year for the season ender? Last year i went and had too much fun. The weather was great compared to what it was up North where i live, the venue was perfect and the turnout was excellent i thought. I took two best puppy trophies and would have probably got a third but was too late on Sunday. But the time i had down there was unforgettable. And the pup i was kicking a-- with, i thought was a pretty ugly dog, but the judges thought otherwise. I mean i don't even show the dog anyomore cause i just don't like his look, but i may break him back out for this one. So who's coming to try and take my teams hopes of defending the Best Puppy trophies from this show? Or who is coming to weight pull? I may see if I can get Dino back to weight pull him for this one, since he placed first in the 45-55 lb class last year even though he was three days shy of being nine months. Come on yall if some of yall traveled to Utah then i know yall have to come to the sunshine in Florida in November. If you have never been to this clubs shows i guarantee you you won't be dissappointed.

    I'll be there as well.

It's going to be at the Sumter County Fairgrounds in Bushnell. Hopefully I won't be stuck in the kitchen again this year and actually get to see some dogs lol.

Which event is this? Is there a web site? I'm aware of a fun event at the state fairgrounds end of October.

It's the annual ADBA point show that the Mid-FL APBT Association puts on. They might have more details on their website,

I have been wanting to ask you if they call you Iron Chef because you know a little something about food. So is that why?, or it just happens to be your screename? Cause other than these dogs cooking is one of my passions in life. Maybe we can put something together in Fl. or if they do put you on the grill or smoker you let me know if yu need some help buddy

I was wondering if spay and nuetered dogs were allowed to weight pull in the ADBA?? I heard that they were not but that recently they were trying to change that rule??

And another question is if my dog is UKC registered, can she be registered under ADBA to participate in the weightpull?? I know in the UKC they do a "limited registration" type thing for dogs who want to weight pull at point events but I'm not too familiar with the ADBA.. I recently got into the sport with her and she seems to love love love it. =)

Hey, I am majoring in Culinary management :) Cooking my biggest passion other than the bulldawgs. I helped man the smoker last year, but ended up pulling and saucing the pork, making burgers, etc. I'm gonna cater a bit more food this year now that I know what to expect, last year was my first time "behind the scenes".

On Saturday it's Bill Trumpler and Joe Daley. Sunday's judge is Roger Scott.

Yes, spayed/neutered ADBA registered dogs can compete in weight pull. Unregistered dogs cannot, even through the ILP program.

Don't bother with the ADBA's limited registration; in theory, it is to allow non-ADBA registrable dogs the chance to compete in fun shows/classes. But, it's not necessary to do so.

You can single-register your UKC dog with the ADBA as long as you have a 4 generation pedigree.
