I wonder where people get GOOD prints made? I don't have many options (but I do have the ability to use the internet to get prints)

I am wondering because I really want a few portraits made of Katie (my daughter) in 8x10 so I can hang them and give them to the grandparents and living great grandparents for their houses/living areas. The last professional shots I got done were when she was 1 month old, I know I don't have really any photos right now that I think are worthy, (I need to figure out how to get her to pay attention to me so I can get a good photo outside lol) but I really want to find a place to get some prints of Goren to since I have a few photos I just love and can then figure out where I want them printed from for Katie

I print all mine at Walmart. Many professional photographers use them as well in my area. I just got a lot of 11x14s done. They dropped the price to under $3 for them and they came out really well. I always recommend doing just one test print b/c you may need to make adjustments. Like I found the HP poster printer made my prints a little yellow, so I reduced yellow and saturation a bit and reprinted and they came out great.

I love mpix.com, personally. I order all of my prints there. They are cheap, quick, and much higher quality than sending to a local chain store to be printed and picked up, and you have more options as far as finishes, edits, quality, etc.

I go to Target if i want to get a quick print, they actually come out a lot better than the the service burea's proof prints and a heck of a lot cheaper and faster. Otherwise I print of an Epson Stylus Pro 2880 for personal art prints.
