My dog has been in heat for 2 days and we have a stud already but when would be the best time to breed her? I've heard there was a certain time when she would be most willing.

I assume you have no idea of her breeding or line since you were asking "what kind of pit bull" in your other thread....so my answer is never:cool:

unbelievable....why do people insist on messing around with things they know nothing about....
you want your car fixed you go to somebody who knows about cars
you want a house built you go to a builder

why does the same not apply with dogs

Very simple answer to your question. If you don't know the answer to your own question and your asking on a forum board, you clearly have no idea what it takes to breed. I also would have to say never. Do yourself , the breed, and all that own these breeds a favor and just have your bitch spayed. To many shelters are filled with animals of all breeds from people not knowing how to breed and how to do it responsibly.

Why would you breed a dog that you have no clue what she is ??
What are you trying to accomplish with this breeding ??:no2:
The Shelter is full of Pitbull and Pitbull mixes Why add more ??:no2:

How old is she? What has she accomplished? What is the motivation behind breeding her?

Sounds like you should either a) never breed her or b) wait until you are more knowledgeable....but going by your "what is she post", I'd go with never. Trust me, as someone who has done the idiotic deed of bybing, it's just not worth it.

If this wasn't so sad and common it would be almost funny.

Oops:byb:wrong place to ask that. Seriously, breeding should not be taken lightly or entered into by the inexperienced without a good mentor (in close proximity) if at all.

The best time to breed her is ... After you have her spayed.

You've already been provided all the advice you'll need.

(In all seriousness, though, if you need to ask something like that; you don't know enough to be breeding)

OMG! If someone does want to breed, why would they come on a public forum and ask that. Is someone that .... To not know how to GOOGLE. If they are so set on their ways... GAH LEEE.

wow, I guess a few people said your dog is- beautiful, unique, big/big-headed, friendly, smart, big chest.......... etc. etc. etc. etc. etc......
And Now you want 2 breed your *ahem* "pit-bull" ~ "cause you Know the pups will sell!"
Plus it will be SO easy, right? WRONG. I suggest you do some serious reading & educate yourself. Do you have the money for vet. bills? What if there are complications? What if she needs a C-section? Do you have any idea how much that will cost you? What happens when you can't find homes for all the pups?
Do you know how many healthy "pit-bulls" are being Put-2-Sleep Everyday?? You will just be Another person contributing to the over-population of un-wanted "pit-bulls"

Dude- I don't mean to be rude, but You don't even know what kind of breed she is!

Ugh Please don't think about breeding her/him. All we need is more stray dogs and puppies in the US.
