Hello my name is Celeste and my boyfriend's name is Paul we are from Santa Rosa California and we acquired a pitbull last July. We named him Ryder and he is the most beautiful dog ever, however we were told that he was a purebred Pitbull, the mother we know for sure is a purebred red nose with papers but we do not know what the dad is, we have several thoughts and guesses but I wanted to know what anybody else thought. We've been told that he looks like a boxer pit we've been told he looks bull massive also a Dutch Shepherd, the owner who gave him to us said that he was mixed with red nose pit and American Pitbull terrier ,the only reason why I'm asking is because our dog has an inch long worth of hair around his body and his hind legs are long they're not bowed. He has the Pitbull face but not a pitbull body. Please give any feedback. Thank you

Without a pedigree, you won't know for sure. Post up a picture

Pit bulls do not have bowed legs, or at least not the good quality dogs. Length of hair will depend on what climate the dog is in and if he is an outside dog.
There isn't any difference in a red nose pit bull and an American pit bull terrier. Some of the people who have pit bulls do not know what they have and no idea about the breed. A red nose pit bull is just an American pit bull terrier with a red nose. Same breed as an american pit bull terrier with a black nose.
