What do you feed your dog?

Ever tried Raw RichJack?
I have not. I have been thinking about it and have a few friends that do it with their pits and bullies. I have given my pup a few pieces here and there including raw bones with meat from time to time.
Having a newborn on the way, (planned before got the pup)..didnt want raw meat bacteria around...and in my opinion, cooked/steamed food is just as healthy. I know its a debatable subject.

I was feeding TOTW with great success but this last bag has not been so great, after Wade made that thread, i started really watching the dogs, sure enough, Broly and Voo have been vomiting more frequently and loose stool more often as well. Then i go to their facebook page last night and low and behold a shit storm has hit TOTW. People are PISSED! Same symptoms across the board from multiple pet owners and it's like they don't want to acknowledge it..

So here i sit stuck in the cycle of looking for a new kibble again, which just might be one of the shittiest things to do, the only other thing i have ever spent this much time on was when i was buying a new microphone, that went on for months, i can't do that with kibble though.. I was ready to start feeding Acana and then i see Orijen, Fromm and Acana all pulled out of chewy due to them being acquired by Pet Smart. So now i am thinking Victor but the one i want has frigging grains! This is hands down the biggest frigging hassle, not to mention Broly started his keep today and now i am in the middle of a kibble change again, worst timing ever!

I don't see it on Chewy and if i was gonna to order outside of Chewy i would go Acana, it does have a great rating on dgofoodadvisory though. I bought a bag of Victor, hope it works for us, went with the fish formula, i know my dogs do ok on fish i just hope its enough for Broly, he burns through the fish formulas so fast and with Nationals coming up in just two months, the last thing i want to be doing is fighting kibble.

If I was looking for a new kibble. I'd go see or ask a few or more greyhound trainers to try and see what kibble they're feeding their dogs and try that. Most foods on that dog food advisory are for pet dogs and I'm sure the ratings are rigged. Greyhound kibble is designed just for working greyhounds and if it's being fed by trainers then that's the best reference there is imo.

I've been doing a lot of research. Victor has grain free too. There is Fromm and Solid Gold. I thought Victor does not look bad. I'm sorry the dogs are not doing well. Hope they feel better soon. Eagle Pack does not look bad either. Earthborn holistic is good too. Tonka did very well on that for several months. You can switch off just fish flavor with red meat etc. just like with TOTW. I saw that Earthborn wet food has high ratings too. Eagle pack and Victor canned has high ratings too.

Supplement with the canned wellness 95% salmon when he needs a bit more.

I think this would be good for Broly too.

I was really happy with the Acana Duck and Pear. Both dogs have done very well on Acana Heritage Fresh water Fish. I just upgraded, I thought, to Acana regional Wild Atlantic ($79 a bag) It came today and I'm really disappointed. The Freshwater Fish seemed much more substantial $63 a bag.
