What do you feed your dog?

Taste of the Wild. Older dogs have liked all their flavors but Wetlands (fowl) seems to be their favorite. They don't make a puppy version of Wetlands so my pup is on Puppy High Prairie (bison & venison) formula.
  2. My adult dogs eat Montego classic with Montego sauce, raw pet mice and water.
My puppies eat soaked montego classic and a mix of cooked pet mince, bone meal, chicken hearts & liver and boiled eggs.

Yikes. The ingredients in that dog food are about the worst I've ever seen.

I've been concerned for a while over feeding my dog food that was good for him. We make his wet food (73/30 beef, frozen vegs, and kidney beans cooked down into a stew), but we have been feeding him PurinaOne dry dog food. I googled some information and the first thing that came up was dogfoodadvisor.com. I read reviews about this site that dog food manufacturers are able to contribute to some of the posts so I do not fully trust that the site is neutral and objective. Then I came across this forum and read that many of you use Taste of the Wild. I bought a small bag and he absolutely loves it. Thanks!

All the site does is list and analyze ingredients. By doing so one can tell PurinaOne sucks. Big upgrade to TOTW.

In the U.S., we fed TOTW, the Honest Kitchen, plus RMBs (years ago, until I got nervous about our speed chewers and gulpers). Here, there is a full-spectrum range of dog foods available as well, from junk to ultra premium. A brand we like is 'Wolfsblut', which bears a striking resemblance to TOTW, both in packaging and product composition. However, Trusty has been on an allergy-related exclusion diet (sorry, kiddo, no more fresh fruit and veggies for you, kiddo), and has been on a Royal Canin R/X for months now. I have never been a fan of this manufacturer, but will say that the two times we had to use it for Trusty, he has done very well on both R/X foods. So, I have learned to keep an open mind ...

After trying a few different brands throughout Rambo's 2 1/2 years (Blue Buffalo, Taste of The Wild, Acana) I think that we have finally found the one that works best for him and his skin allergy issues-- Nature's Variety Instinct LID! He seems to do really well with either the duck or lamb formulas. :)

That is good food. Sometimes I question if I shouldn't have taken Tonka off that food. She ate the turkey and tapioca for 3-4 months and the lamb for a few months. We never tried the duck formula.

Mollie was on TOTW-Pacific Stream formula for over 9 years, with never the first issue. Bella has been on it for 8, Cooper for 6, & none of the 3 have ever had any problems with it. At first, I had Bella on the Bison formula, but had to switch her after she got itchies, which we traced back to grain fed chicken being in the Bison formula. Once we switched to the PS formula, we haven't had any problems. Of course, that being said, Mollie has been on a diet of steak, chicken & fish this whole year, but that's another story.

Well, we switched to a no corn, no soy and no wheat diet for Diesel. Right now he is getting fed the following 2x a day:
2 cups Diamond Naturals Lamb and Rice dry
1/4 can 4Health Lamb and Rice canned as top dress
1 tsp puppy milk replacer (for the added fat and probiotics)

Taking in a little over 1400 KCAL's per day

I'm in the process of switching from Nutrisource and Wellness to Zignature Duck.
I almost went with Victor, but then I'd have to find something else for Rosie and I wanted one food for all 4 dogs.
That was not an easy task. One needs lower protein/phosphorus, two need grain free, 3 need a non-chicken protein so their CBD supplements work better. Almost went with the trout & salmon recipe, then I found the duck and it has better numbers for my needs.
Venison has the same numbers as the duck, but it was WAY out of my price range, kangaroo had a bit better numbers, but a bit more than I wanted to spend.
The dogs LOVE kangaroo, so I may get that on occasion.
