I just checked the Tatonka website, Ice Man was one of Tatonkas Stud dogs. I went to the Hall of Fame section and there is a picture of Ice Man and under it stands: Sadly missed, R.I.P.
Anyone knows what happened with him? Im just interested. I dont think he was an old dog. They have a new Stud dog now, one of his sons a beaitfull dog. I like Tatonka dogs a lot and they are all Sorrells.

I don't know, but maybe you could email them, express surprise and condolences and ask what happened.

He and Tango both died in a yard accident, unfortunately when you have multiple APBT in one place that can and will happen. I will say that they are some of the most responsible people out there when it comes to this breed and have a beautiful set up. The line is highly intelligent and will spend hours and hours figuring out how to escape it that is what they want to do and no one will stop them.

Very unfortunate loss of a good dog.. but like was said, it happens :(

I know several dogs from Joanie, and they are amazing!

I'd kill for one myself... wanted one off Ice Man... really is a shame...

So did I! I was going to get one out of the litter Troy is from, but then I had to use the money for something else :(

They are breeding his son Troy to Inwa... will be a nice litter.

Yep, I saw that. I wish I could get my hands on one but it'll be probably February at earliest when I'm equipped to get a new pup, probably later than that.

I wish I was close enough to drive to pick up my pup, then I could probably pull it off - but shipping out to Ca isn't cheap! lol EVENTUALLY though... I'll have a dog from her!

Yeah, that's a good point. I'm glad I live in an area with a lot of bulldogs. I might be wrong but I think Tatonka Kennels is within 3 hours of me.

Thank you for the information. So both dogs died in a accidental fight? Verry sad.

Just wondering what it is that you like so much about Ice Man? I've got one of his last sons out of Ankah and he's awesome. Just curious because Ankah was what I was after, Ice Man just happened to be the sire lol. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times so I know he was a good dog, just interested to hear it from another perspective.

Here's a pic of Medicine Man at 1 yr, I think he takes after his dad :)

    Gorgeous pup! :)

I like all of Joanie's dogs, but Chuck stood out to me because of his colouring. I know it's a stupid reason to like a dog when you're talking about dogs you'd want a pup out of - but when you're comparing to dogs of equal/near equal quality, sometimes colour stands out! And, I like how his offspring have been turning out. He produced well!

Thanks! Thats as good a reason as any when it comes to Tatonka since they're all so genetically similar. The most interesting thing about Ice Man being white is that genetically he's black n tan with an excessive amount of white, when Joanie told me that, I was shocked lol.

Genetics are a finicky thing like that lol Doesn't surprise me at all!

When you double up the b&t genetic it actually cancels out the color genetic producing an all white dog, we have more than one from Tatonka and the litters that we have had with Sorrells dogs over the years. Chuck was a great dog, we actually saw him as a puppy as well as right before he was returned to Joanie and he was absolutely fabulous!

They already bred him. And I do not think Troy was even a year old when they did that.

Ehhh that may be right. They are about an hr from me.

I didn't know he was only around a year old, that would change things.

I believe he was just shy of 13 months.

He was still in the puppy classes at the Beaver State show in Sept.
