Looking to buy high quality chain traffic leads for my dogs and can't seem to find what I'm looking for locally or with a google search, by "traffic" leash I mean a short lead which makes control easier and doesn't allow dog much give on walks to avoid accidents or lunges.

Does it have to be chain?

I have a leather traffic lead and while they are good for limited amounts of time in crowds or other short-time situations, I would not use one for a walk the dog is supposed to enjoy (long lead). Hopefully, your walk on a traffic lead is not all the walk your dogs get.

The traffic leash is not for daily use on hikes ect. it is for when I have my larger Mastiff mix on the street as he tends to lunge at passing walkers, bikers, and the like also for my pit bulls at confirmation events, veterinarian or other places the might encounter dogs. I do only want chain as leather or any other material will be destroyed by him eventually. Still water kennel supplies is a no go...any other ideas would be appreciated.

Honestly for this kind of thing you might look into making one yourself, I imagine Home Depot would have all the supplies you'd need and you can make it exactly how you want.

I would ask Stillwater because I've seen some different options on there. He has a strong bungee type of short lead too, I think?
