Don't have any current shots of her brother (the smooth coated one), but here's some new ones of Voodoo. They're 5mths old now. She stands about 27 inches at the shoulder. All legs :D The personality of these guys is just phenominal. Very gentle, and very sensitive. I am very much anticipating hunting with these guys. They're just absolutely beautiful dogs inside and out.

Thanks guys! Wish ALL the pics woulda worked. :/

I have been advised from folks experienced in hunting these guys, that they are very sensitive, and they take a long time to mature. Basically they are to be started up later than other breeds, or you could potentially ruin them. I will likely start her on rabbits when she hits around 8mths old, but she will not see the hide of a hog until she's at LEAST 16-18mths old.....

My purebred Greyhound puppy is pretty soft when it comes to hunting. Right now he is more curious than anything else of critters and wants to play. He found an injured Cooper Hawk in the yard and backed away from it when it bit him. My adult Greyhound is the hunter, rabbits, armadillos, and actually pretty good on birds. He goes on point and will flush quail. He will go after a hog, but I would prefer him not too!

But they are slow to mature. I had one for racing that was a flunky at the track they decided after 7 races, he was 18 months old. I had him, let him mature, at 2 1/2 he turned out to be phenomenal I know a different thing, but still the same concept. It just takes time for them to reach their full potential. Xander ended up in amateur racing being #1 Greyhound and #4 All breed in 2012 at NOTRA.
