At 3:00 pm. I tried calling two Vets to see if I should give him dinner?

    What color was it?
Regardless, my suggestion would be to 'fast' him until later today.

    It was yellow like mustard.

Thank you Madeleinemom. Good to hear from you. Hope you are doing as well as can be expected?

Sometimes my dog vomits stomach acid. I don't think it's an issue but let the vet know.

Fasting is actually a bad idea when a dog is vomiting bile, often this is due to too much acidity in the stomach and food will help. I would also suggest something like yogurt to calm down the stomach and lower acidity.

I cooked a bland diet for him but then the Vet got back to me and told me to resume his regular diet. So I ate the chicken myself. lol

I agree. My vet told me in the mornings to give my dog some of his kibble to absorb the acid. It works.

He is still having issues. I don't know if I'm underfeeding or if he has an obstruction of some sort? Maybe I am underfeeding? It seems like if I only give him a soft boiled egg at lunch time that he has trouble the next day.

I think he has some kind of hernia? I'm really concerned...not looking good.

yes, then I couldn't find it yest. I'm going to try to find it again today. This all makes sense though why he was gagging when he gets too wild while playing, etc.

So I took him in this morning and he didn't feel an umbilical hernia. He didn't feel we should do an ultra sound yet. They were thinking that he started vomitting stomach acid since I started him on Vetriscience Composure. They are hoping if I increase the famotidine and stop the "Composure." that maybe this will stop.

So I remembered this morning that this started 2-3 weeks before he started the Vetriscience Composure.

We have one more week of 20mg famotadine 2X daily and then I have to give the Vet a call. He is also eating 4X daily.
