    [IMG][IMG]Ok, i
've posted these pictures before for an intorduction, but i need to know if he is "bully" enough to be registered with ABKC. The reason it is urgent is because there is an abkc show about 4 hours from me on the 6th, i need to know if it's worth the time and money, or if he'll be refused registration anyway. HE's only 8 months, he' will have just turned 9 months 2 days before the show. HE has a ton of bully bloodlines in his ped, watchdog, york, gaff, colby, and others. HE weighs 60lbs in the pics above, and we're about to go to the vet right now, and i'll post his new weight. SO help me out guys, thanks! (also moderators, feel free to turn those into thumbnails, i didn't know how!)

i think hes bully enough, good bone nice head 2 me he looks looks like what they would think of as "standard" type. colby is not a bully stye they would b "game bred "as far as i know, colby is a big name n that world, hope this helped

You are correct. Colby is 'game bred'. No bully there. :)

I don't know what he is, other than adorable!! :hearts:

I love his markings, he looks like Bella, with some white thrown in.. :p

You can definitley show him ABKC!! Though he would not be considered "Standard" but he would be considered "Classic". The standard category is more of a very bully standard.. and he is not an extreme bully type so I think he would do nicely in the classic division.

I showed my girl Memphis at an ABKC fun show last month and she got first place in the "Classic" Female division. She is a 72# female..so she is a big girl..but not very bully..so a judge sugested I enter her into the "Classic" catagory.

i wouldnt think colby dogs would be of much use to make bullies today, but the blood of their dogs is in mine. only because you can trace pincher way back in the ped. but the dogs they produce these days would not give the desired looks a bully breeder requires........

Yeah, i should have done more rwesearch on the blloodline, but i threw it out there because a lot of bully sites had mentioned it. He also has blue gator, but no one seems to care for that kline. He undeniably has gamedog too, his 7th gen grandsire on his dam's side is midnight cowboy, who was apparently pretty good...idk. lol.

Thanks myredruca, that was the best response i've gotten, and congrasts on your win!

Also so those people in general discussion are dicks. Also, he is only 8 months old and he exercises constantly, i don't know how to muscle up/ lean him out other that weight pull, and from what i've read he is too young for that. I think the 8 month thing should be more of a factor to those reading, he weighed 64 lbs on friday, so he is going to put on quite a bit weight before he his done. I like how ambully fanciers are such nicer people than gamedog lovers who claim to be against dog fighting, but are obsessed with it. i'll probably only use the bully foirum on this site now.

dont let people's ignorance scare you off. i have a pit and i have bullies. my bullies have pit papers. so what. the more people cry and whine on here the less response i give. i enjoy giving helpful honest info to those who could use it. i am no expert by any means. just owned these types of dogs most of my life. so have fun and post where you want ......we have your back.........

I appreciate that, but like i said i liked my dog's shape and some dude was like "by shape, do you mean poor confirmation?" it's so uncalled for, but i'm nopt gonna pm him or anything, and that thread got closed. I hate when people do that shit. Any of you guys going to the peoria,il abkc show?

Yea I know where your coming from..don't let people's negative attitude get you down. If you like your dogs shape, then you like his shape!! Period..ya know. Anyway I tried to stand up for your pup over there but it's not worth debating sometimes. So yea like I was saying..if your pup is still a young dog than don't worry too much about working him so hard. His body is going to be changing and developing alot in the next year or so...and genetics are going to play a HUGE factor in his muscle content and so on. So for now you can just feed him a good diet and work him by taking him on runs, getting im on the flirt pole, and maybe even the spring pole.
The Ambully world has ALOT of love for one another..but don't shy away from the classic, gamebred world either..there is alot to learn there..you just have to be careful how you word things sometimes..lol. They are just trying to protect the breed to the extreme and anytime they feel the slightest threat they counteract..lol. Don't take any of it personally..it's just peoples opinions..like I said there is alot of amazing information around here and very educated people with years of experience..feel free to poke around the entire forum..and if you step on someone's toes than SO WHAT!! LOL

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, and for the record, I own a AmBully, but the negative comments you got (besides the one about your dog's conformation) were because you were wanting to know if your dog was bully enough to be registered with the ABKC so you could register his future pups with the ABKC. Considering your dog is only 8 mos. old and you don't know what registry he would fit in with, you're going to get a lot of negative comments when you talk about breeding him. ;)

BTW, there are a lot of gamedog lovers who are interested in the history of the dogs, but are against dogfighting, so please don't paint everyone with one brush.

You have a good looking boy. :) Like Myredruca said, genetics are going to play a big part in how muscular he turns out. Right now hand walking and working him on the flirt pole would be good. When he gets older you can start more serious workouts with him.

^^ awesome post. i love both the apbt breed as well as the bully breed. Most can't but i guess im just werid ;) i own a bully...i thought it would be a easier lifestyle dog for me (having 2 kids and wanting an inside/outside dog w.o killing the neighbors pets, or at least hoping so LOL) I have socialized pike with many dogs. So far he has ZERO DA which is a great thing for me considering how most people label "pitbulls" In my personal experiences my boy Pike is a great example for the "pitbull" to the general public. He has playdates with another ambully of his stature, and they always do fine with each other. With that said, i would like to show him someday. I'm really busy working my ass off to feed my family and keep the bills in line so its hard to make a show. i think that dog would do great in a show....jmo of course. classic class for sure. ---shane n pike

Thanks, i didn't read that once already. I'm not going though. Mr. pancakes got stabbed or shot or something, so all of my money went to vet bills. Ill get him abkc registered sooner or later because later on i would like to show him in the classic division, and his puppies also. thanks for the info everyone.
