Yes work on the nails. He may hate the noise of the dremel at first so use positive persuasion with him. Here's a great web site on how to dremel dogs nails. I will never use nail clippers again!!
And you got a reserve your first show so that's great. I didn't win squat at my first show..LOL.

yeah i just took care of them nails yesterday ill touch them up before the show and your right deff didnt like the dremel lol i didnt get them that short thought he has really long nails one of them bleed alittle if i keep doing them they will get shorter right ?

Yes if you do them often the quicks will go back and the nails will get shorter. I would try not to get close enough to draw blood. Plus the dremel will cause the quick to get hot if left on there too long. I normally do a nail for a few seconds then come back and do them again if needed.

If it's painfull to him it will be worse the next time trying to do them. You can touch them up every week or 2 weeks, whatever is needed.

  10. Yea blue just keep working with him and it will turn into muscle memory. I am new to it also so I am no pro but I have just stuck to it and been consistant now Amira stacks her ass off. I just need to keep working on her gait and I will be in good shape.

I am no pro because I am new to all this also but I have just been consistant with my pup but not to much to wear her out. I try to make it fun for her and she does great. I work with her and my new pup for a few minutes everyday and they seem to enjoy it. I try to soak up everything I hear from everyone at the shows and see what works best for the dog. I just need to work on her gait and I will be in buisness

the gait is when they enter the ring right

  12. The gait is the movement of the dog. Like how they move when you go around and take them out and back.

is it possible that i could champion zeus out with in the next couple shows if he is up to it on his showing ?

  14. Yea you could do it in 4 shows prob. I use hot dogs for bait

I think you can champion him. He has a nice topline, rear and nice movement. You just need to get him used to the ring, stacking and gaiting. All dogs have faults so you want to try and focus on his good attributes and really make them stand out in the ring. Do you have a different show collar and lead?

Hot dogs are good or you can boil calf liver ( if you can stand the smell). I boil it for just a few minutes minutes then put a little garlic powder on it and microwave it for 2 minutes at a time until it is chewy ( but don't over cook or it will crumble).
