I have a rescue girl that is only 16lbs. The vet said she has 5 month teeth coming in, so she is 4 1/2-5 months old. I know she has been stunted due to neglect by whoever dumped her on the side of the road with her sister (which I found a good home for). I have only had her since September 31st, which is when I found her. She only weighed 6 pounds and was nothing but bones and worms. Now she is 16lbs, but very small. The profile pic of her was taken Saturday! How big is she suppose to be right now? Any pics of 5mo's?

My girl is almost 7 months now, and about 40+ lbs. I believe she was around 30-35 around the 5-6 month mark.

This is her at about 5 months (30ish lbs) with my step-moms labradoodle whos about 70+ lbs.

She's perfectly fine. :) At 5 months of age, the majority of my dogs weighed in the upper 'teens. The rest were in the very, very low 20's.

    She's a cutie btw!

My 4 1/2 month old just weighed in at 22lbs. Being a rescue, its hard to say what a good weight would be. For a typical standard sized pup 16 lbs is right on. Size in this breed varies so much, you can have a 40lb or 15lb 4 month old pup.

    Great point!!

My girl is a little big for her age...but then again you look at some of the other members dogs...like ShadowWolf's Lyric...shes a tiny little thing. :)

Diesel was about 38 pounds at 5 months old...now 15 months and ~70 pounds. So 16-18 pounds at 5 months would most likely mean an under 40# fully matured dog. Like has been stated above...there is a range.

Wow 38 pds. Again size does vary depending on lines, genetics.

We have 3 full grown dogs that are between 25 and 30pds.

Our recent litter they are 5 months and my male I have is 23pds and the female is 20.

Yeah, and since I found Diesel, his genetics are unknown. He is tall, 22.5", but lean at 70#s. He also is more "deep chested" than "broad chested". He is staying at the 69-70#s since he turned 13 months and I am trying to keep him there if possible. So far so good.

Here he is this morning from my cell phone (does not show the shape he is really in):

I'd say that's a good size, I wish my pup was that size, she is turning into a miniature horse she is 4 months and 32 lbs, but she might as well be a mix, we are not sure, it's hard to say when you don't have papers
