Karma was (and still is sometimes) a Beagle. lol (she weighs in at around 65-70 lbs., beagle on steroids maybe?)

And for some reason, I've had two different times where it was insisted that Cassie is a "border collie". lol I guess because of her markings...but still....that's a long shot in the dark to me....

Sweetperks - Holy shit! That's one big beagle!! Is Karma papered? Did you see the parents? Is it possible Karma's maybe some kind of mix of Foxhound and Beagle? American Foxhound, English Foxhound and both class heights of beagle 13 and 15 inches all have similar colouring and body type, but are all just different heights (kind of, obviously there's more, but very similar at least).

    If Karma's a papered Beagle, that's CRAZY! Lol :D

HAHA! She's a bonafide papered rescue. lol l I just meant that's what people tell me she is when we're out. She's actually 1/2 generic pitbull (mom) and we're not sure about dad. We were told dad was a "lab" (we never saw dad) lol, but I can't believe there's not SOME kind of hound dog in here...I mean, check out those ears!! lol Whatever she is, she's a pretty mutt, and we love her! :) She's listed on vet paperwork as a hound mix. lol I LOVE our vet btw. haha

Crazy thing is, she was the only puppy in the entire litter with her coloring. All her sibilings (11 of them!) were much stockier, and black/white markings. They look nothing like her now that they're older, makes me wonder if it was a litter with two daddies maybe? who knows.....?

Well I actually had someone argue with me that my Conman was a great dane mix, while another told me he was a wolf hybrid. Both times all I could do was laugh and tell them that I have quite a few AKC judges who I'm going to have to write and tell them they made a huge mistake!

I can not get over how much your dog looks like mine! Her ears don't stand, but she is almost a spitting image otherwise! I've had several people asked if she is a great dane pup. Unless her previous owners lied, she's not, but who knows! All I know is she is huge, and beautiful.

I think there might be a little Walker in the woodpile with this one, especially if she's got some leg to her. Can't really tell sitting.

With my Beetle dog I usually don't even get a guess. Just an "What is that? It's huge!"

I have been informed Boo is a "poorly bred" english lab, a boxer/black lab and a beagle/boxer.

Myfrenchie was usually an english bull dog/chihuahua mix.

I honestly don't see Boxer at all... and a new guess for Dakota, Black and Tan Coonhound.

I wouldn't blame a Alaskan Husky guess, some do resemble him a bit (long legs, slender, markings to an extent) but so few folks actually know what they are and they do vary greatly.

Very well could be, she has pretty long legs. I don't really know much about the different types of tallish hounds. She is completely covered in "ticking" on her skin under her fur too, very "houndish". You wouldn't really guess there's any "pitbull" in her at all really, unless she's standing next to one. lol Her body shape is just a slightly stretched out version of a pitbull, but her head shape is all hound dog. She got big too, we were sure there was beagle there at first, but she's much too big for any beagle I've ever seen. lol

Seriously? I happen to love Frenchies so that kind of stuns me. But I think terrible breed guesses happen a lot with the Frenchies because we ran into a Frenchie on our walk through the state park. I said "Awww, look! It's a Frenchie!" and asked if I could give the lil dude some love. His owner was very obviously pleasantly surprised and said almost no one who sees him gets his breed right.

I don't have the paper with me but let's see if I remember. It would be 1/2 Dogo, 1/8 Staghound. 1/8 Wolfhound, 1/8 Bulldog, 1/16 Bull terrier and 1/16 Dane. I think that all adds up right.

Her father comes from Austrailia, they use a different kind of hog dog over there but she works just fine as a catch dog over here. Fastest dog I've ever owned.

based on your first pic, there may be some chupacabra in there to get that topline.

It could be my laptop though.

but I bet a chupacabra mix would be a great catch dog

She has a ridge of long wirey hair that goes down her back. When she gets wet the smoothe hair lays down but that wirey wolfhound hair will stay standing up. It's pretty cool looking when I get a decent picture. We call her our dinosaur dog. First, because cleaning her kennel is like picking up after a dinosaur, second because she has this teeth popping habit that sounds like something from Jurassic park.

    (excuse the crappy quality)

    She's a Shepherd Mutt.
The weirdest guesses I've gotten are Dingo, Pit Bull and Basenji.

Do you have any other pics?
From that one, she looks quite a bit like Frankie.

Someone told me that night that she would be suprised if Frankie wasn't 100% Pit. She didn't see any Shepherd in her.
I think I'm going to go with Pit/Shep/Lab...or Pit LaShep...LOL
