    I have a rant.

There's two reactions I get from people when they see my dog has had puppies, either they want a puppy and I have to either hold my tongue on my thoughts on breeding or find an appropriate way to explain that's not a good way to find a puppy, OR they think I'm a horrible person making a profit off puppies. I've had my dog a few months and her previous owners bred her to 'give her the experience'.
I don't think she is super saggy, but people stare at and sometimes even touch them... SHE'S MORE THAN JUST A SET OF BIG NIPPLES.

I have heard that hemorrhoid medicine helps with the sagging. No experience with that, just old wive's tale passed down by a woman I know that works at a rescue. Just make sure she doesn't start licking. (bleh)
I personally, think she's gorgeous and after giving birth to 3 babies of my own, I say let those girls loose!

    Getting old, sucks.
I had kidney stones back in August, (2 stuck in R ureter) while I was recovering from the cystoscopy and still had a stent in said ureter, I hurt my knee. Almost 3 months later and I still cannot bend it or exercise without modification. Finally sucked it up and saw ortho. DX: Torn medial and lateral meniscus, right knee. Prognosis: surgery to repair or remove said menisci. Recovery time: 4 fucking weeks. God dammit. UGH.

Oh, I'm so sorry! Good that you went in to see the Ortho!

Strange how illness and injury go together. When I was recovering from the Valley Fever and double pneumonia my big toe nail turned purple and fell off. I couldn't believe it. The foot surgeon said that the 6inch screw in my big toe came loose and it should be removed. I told him that my immune system was compromised a lot at that time and I could not afford to have the tip of my toe cut open and a big screw pulled from my toe/bone. So they permanently removed the nail, which kind of sucked. (Sorry for hijacking your thread!)

I took Tonka to Walmart yesterday and I got this again. I'm pretty tired of it.

customer: "Oh, what is she? Is she a pit bull mix?
Me: "well, she is some kind of a bully mix. She was a rescue so we really don't know."
Customer: "oh, they are really good dogs if they are mixed with another breed of dog. It is when they are prebreds that they are no good."

    Grrrrr!

Years ago when APBT were still banned in my area, I was waiting in line at PetCo and picked up over of those dog mags with an APBT on the cover.
Woman behind me in line: we have APBT, we breed them (this is before the am bully craze hit our little piece of Midwestern America)
Me: I'd love to own one, but I live here, and they're illegal to own.
Woman: oh, we live in town too. We just register all ours as AST. You should get one and do that too.
Me: isn't that kinda cheating the system a little?
Woman: oh no, no, no. Pit bulls are mutts anyway.

Met the neighbor's little Westie today. Dogs are usually very attracted to me because I don't speak loudly and they sense that I am a friendly person. So I asked what her name is and if I could say hello. Her name is Bella. So I bent down and said her name and tried to let her sniff my hand. However, she backs up and is very scared. So I stood up and said I won't say hi because she is too afraid. He says, "no, you can say hi. We chose this breed because they are so friendly." (He was referring to Teddy, who is very dog selective.) I have news for this guy. A scared Westie can still bite a person. The dog was terrified of me. The man is clueless. He couldn't even read the dog's body language. Clearly, Bella did not want to meet me.

That drives me bat crap crazy more than anything. (Ppl that can't read their dogs) and there are so many of them out there.

I'm on the other side of that situation, my dog can be afraid of strangers approaching unless properly introduced. So when I go to a drive through coffee house and someone comes out to take my order and the instantly go to her window to pet her, I have to holler so they don't get there and immediately pet her. I've never seen her lunge or show teeth, but she will cower and growl.

She always barks when we get home or someone comes over, with us it's happy barking with a very wiggly butt. We say to her "Get em!" when we are playing with her, but I made the mistake of doing that when my brother got home and had a hood over his head, thinking she would be hyper and play but she didn't know who he was yet. I had to grab her back legs before she reached him and I told him to take his hood off, she realized who it was and went into hyper play mode. My brother keeps telling our friends I tried to make my dog kill him :P

The deer took a spill trying to run out of the way, had it still been on it's feet the car probably would have been a total loss.

Insurance deductible is $700, so I'm going that route. My guess right now is the damage is going to be in the $3500 range depending what parts are available through jobber companies. Fascia, rad support, rad, a/c condenser are all toast. I'll find out tomorrow, luckily I was able to get it in for appraisal quick.
