The "Bully" Section

Everyone knows I was against the "Bully" forum from the beginning.

I would like to request again that it be done away with.

If it CAN'T be, PLEASE, the first time anyone come on with a question, comment, etc that mentions "bully" can they be put "over there"?

Why would we delete an entire section when there are quite a few people on here that own American Bullies that post there?

Maybe if the Super Mods had the ability to grant AmBully forum access ... threads found to belong there could expeditiously be moved and the OPs have posting privileges right away.

I guess I didn't think before posting (again LOL). If the Super Mods were able to grant access privileges to the AmBully section ... that would mean by software default, they would pretty much have "privilege" ability over EVERYTHING concerning this board. MAY not be a good idea after all ... dunno

I think its a good idea too Kady. I KNOW you guys are frustrated by limitations sometimes. Hopefully something can be worked out.

Yeah, I'm not sure how it'd work.. like if the Super Mods. were able to be listed as only being able to grant access to the AmBully section and that was it.

You mean they DON'T? Can't Super Mods do anything?
I don't know how it works -- just get those threads put where they "belong".

What GOOD does the promotion and discussion of those abominations and the swaggering of their owners DO for ANYONE?

That thread yesterday was an anomaly Sagebrush. Most who come here for the first time with AmBully don't even know what they have and are very respectful while having every right to be proud of their chosen breed and their family pet. Either that or they know what they have ... and that's okay ... they are just searching for discussion with like minded people ... in the AmBully forum ... not trying to sell litters, promote and hustle entrepreneurial shows or start disagreements.

That thread yesterday/today just highlights the importance of something needing to be done in a timely fashion from time to time ... "before the town folk kill them" LOL.

If the Super Mods for one reason or another are unable to grant AmBully posting privileges ... MAYBE one consideration would be to LOCK threads of that nature right away ... UNTIL threads are moved AND appropriate posting privileges granted. A Forum/Super Mod could PM the OP and explain why the thread was (temporarily) locked until such time as discussion could be held in the appropriate forum.

Don't care. There should be no discussion of "bulleez" on this board or any serious board.

We've been told over and over and over they are here to stay and are enormously popular.

That tells me they are ready to go out on their own.

I feel the same as Sagebrush. I'm also a chihuahua person. In the Chi world idiots breed teeny, tiny extreme dogs who are huge health problems and call them Teacups. They sell them as rare and special. They only thing special about them is that they manage to stay alive while being so messed up.
In GSD's it's the extreme sloping back. In Doxie's it's the double merle pups born with out sight or sometimes eyes. Or Collies with their tiny wedge heads and tiny little eyes. ALL of the extreme breed traits cause health problems. None of this extreme crap is doing any breed any good. So while I don't hate the dogs themselves, they didn't ask to be born "extreme", I can not condone the breeders.
And when people can not *tell* the difference between good and bad only the dogs suffer (and maybe some bank accounts).

I love it when dog people here call it like they see it.

Wow,.. okay, so we,.. no you want to shut down a whole forum section because of a couple of threads that show up every once in a while? Seriously,.. if that's the case this whole site should be shut down,.. since it's not just people in the bully section that come here with issues wanting help or not.

It's an easy fix,.. if you don't like bullies then don't respond to their threads. No ones forcing you to open it, read it and respond no matter where it's posted.

No, I believe ANY discussion gives them legitimacy and institutionalizes the whole friggin concept.

The best they should be viewed is as a fringe group, shunned by the rest of us.

You don't own dogs that look like extreme English Bulldogs with cropped ears. Your dogs look like they can move, sit, stand and breath with out pain. I've never heard you peddle anything. It's a whole different story.
I'm not sure why you would say that?

MsAcer: I really don't believe there should be any discussion on a board like this about "bullies". If you must talk about "bullies" do it elsewhere.
