Hello my fellow PitBull lovers! Glad I found this forum, there's so much good information here as I'm sure it will be a great help. Unfortunately the reason for my finding this forum is that my buddy has a somewhat bad case of itching. I did find more information and help for this issue than I'm sure I'll need. We are truly thankful.
A few years ago my family lost in very quick succession both of our Doberman Pinchers. Both at a young age for two separate reasons. After a peroid of time and grieving we were finally able and ready to get another dog. We always looked into reputable breeders and had always found healthy dogs. This time we did it differently, we decided to rescue a pitbull qnd there were just to many to choose from, 24 pages of them on Petfinder just locally where we live. After a few days of exploring the listings we found what turned out to be the best dog I've ever known. As it turns out he was hit by a car and was being fostered for over a year. Two other families tried but ended up returning him for different reasons. We went to meet him and he was perfect for us and we for him. We all love each other tremendously and life is great.

If none of the info you've found about the itching helps you narrow down cause/solve the problem, feel free to post a thread about it the Health and Nutrition sub forum.

Welcome! Sorry for the loss of your dobes! Most people always say once they have owned a pit bull, that they are the best dogs they have ever owned. :-) isn't it such a shame how many pit bulls and mixes there are? Hope you get the itchiness gone..a lot of us have experienced similar situations so ask away.
