Sugar ... What mix ??

Sugar was adopted from a foster affiliated with the local Ozark-Dale Humane Society in December of '06.
I found Sugar on PetFinder.com and she was listed as an American Bulldog mix.
Obviously she isn't LOL ... but maybe it was hard to tell as she was only about 12 weeks old.

The foster couldn't tell me anything about Sugar's history except that she and her littermate brother were found alone and from unknown origin and pedigree.

Sugar has some tan highlight and especially as she grows older. It leads me to think she may have some Yellow Lab in her.

I met Sugar's brother briefly when the foster brought Sugar for an initial visit. While Sugar was white all over ... her littermate was white with a large brown patch over each eye.

What do you think Sugar might be a mix of ??

It might be WAY off....but she bears an uncanny resemblance in one of the pics...it she had floppy ears..to a yellow lab that boards here...and then...her tail set..coupled with the fact the brother had a mask...im thinking..maybe lab/husky.

Thank you DeD ... that's one of my favorites too LOL

Do labs or huskys have "blotches" on the skin ... like you can see in the second picture of Sugar's underside ??
She has other blotchy areas but they are well hidden by her double coated fur.

In the last picture of her play bow ... you can see a large blotchy area on her chest behind her left front leg for instance

I don't mind off the wall guesses LOL ... but we don't have many "exotics" around here and those that are, are generally kept from mating with unknown dogs. Of course it happens though and anything is possible.

The blotchy skin makes me wonder if a drop of bulldog might be in there somewhere. But double coated, curled tail, prick ears, tan highlights along her back and ears as she gets older says something else all together. ... and then there is body and head shape to also confuse everything LOL

Suger is so adorable.

I was thinking the possibility of her having some Husky in her. Other then that, I'm really not sure. If I saw her on the street for the first time, I would have never guessed Lab x.

Sugar is 100% stud. I mean look at her around the little guy strutting her stuff! LOL

I have no idea, maybe a collie/shepherd mix would be my guess. She is still pretty though.

@Muttkip - I just noticed you said Collie/shepherd mix too ! LOL

I think the head shape and ears hint of a possible shepherd in there somewhere too.
What makes you say perhaps collie, Muttkip and LP ??

personally ,i think sugar is a mix of a ton of breeds. theres really no similarities of any breed to me. just your a-typical roaming mutt lineage, that people "let" get bred to anything. heiz 57 mutt. and a cute one at that.

 ... yep ... I think that's the best guess brindlexpitt ... she's one of a kind HA !!!
What is her "breed" good at ... handling teaching bulldogs some house manners ... she's on her second one with Mason. She had him housebroken in no time :)

Joe I honestly have no idea. I went back to look and the only thing I could think of was fur length and body shape LOL
