    Breathtaking, isn't he?
This handsome young man is an approx 2 year old Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier/ Labrador mix.
He is a WONDERFUL dog, knows sit, shake and down. He walks well on a leash and is INCREDIBLY smart and focused, making any future training much easier!
This guy has been passed up time and time again all because he is BIG and BLACK.
Large black dogs are the last to get adopted, even if they are amazing like this boy is here.
He would make any AMAZING best friend and sidekick.
He did come in as a stray, so not much is known about his past, although he does need a home without cats :)
He is choosy about his canine friends, but seems to do well with dogs smaller than he is.
He even led a parade, and was absolutely wonderful in it!
He patiently laid by his handler before the parade started, with children running around and petting him and loud music and sounds completely surrounding him, while the other dogs grew anxious.
I am a volunteer for the shelter where he is at, and let me tell you, I would not be writing about this guy if he wasn't the most amazing dog EVER.
He is both a staff and volunteer favorite, yet he has been stuck at the shelter for AN ENTIRE YEAR!
PLEASE HELP ME NETWORK HIM IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE!! I don't know how else to help him, he hasn't gotten depressed yet but I'm afraid he is going to soon :(
He needs to be adopted not too far from Los Angeles, so Orange County, Ventura County, etc.
Please let me know if anyone is interested, and thank you to anyone who networks him!!

He is incredibly handsome and has amazing eyes! I would try to list him on PBRC.net and you can also try Petfinder. Where is he located?
  3. Oh and his name is Enzo! I know! His eyes are mesmerizing!!
He is already on petfinder, but I will definitely try PBRC.net!
He is located at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society.
  4. oh man, he's stunning! I'd take him in a heartbeat, you know, like if I could have every dog I ever wanted. lol

I wish him the best of luck! :sonn_u11:

Make him a Facebook fan page. Seriously, it really helps. We've gotten 5 or 6 long timers adopted this way. Put all of his pictures on it, make a cute video of him (this always gets people), write a cutesy bio, etc. And network the crap out of him with your friends, their friends, etc.

I agree! We have a lot of our adoptable dogs that have a whole network of FB fans that then start to do the networking for us! :o

I do want to tell you though I know how hard it is finding homes for the mixes!! We will often pull a mama pit bull from a shelter with her nursing babies, and they will grow up to not even resemble their mom! It is hard to reach out to pit bull lovers and breed enthusiasts for a "mix" ... Most often, we find our mixes homes when they latch onto the hearts of some unsuspecting victim at an adoption event! :D I don't know if your shelter does adoption events, but if someone can just get him out to a Petco or a community festival, it could really be his lucky day!!

i got to admit that is a really nice mix
