Nat you can ask Shane what type would be best for Tonka. He's very good at it, and from what I've heard from others he's really nice. I don't have any of his, but I will get one at some point. I've seen his work.

What does he make his collars out of? A guy here abouts uses seat belt webbing.coon hunters like them.i think he can sew 3-4 layers together.punch holes as u need.

He has 5ply made from nylon and seat belt webbing together, or leather. If you go to Stillwater Kennels, I googled it and it popped right up, you can see them. If I needed a good collar I'd recommend him. Folks here like him a lot, he delivers quality merchandise, and from previous reports, he's a stand up guy.

He makes collars for bulldogs (1.5" or 2").. Stand up guy and will make whatever you want custom if needed. I know of some bulldoggers that have had his collars for 12 years and are still going strong. Strong buckle with a solid D ring. He also is using these new swivels which are pretty nice.

If you are worried about the holes and fitting, just tell Shane or grab a propane torch, a pair of vice grips and a 16penny nail and just make your own holes.

    Here is his site Durock..

New ones with the swivel.. I'm sure they can be added to any collar of your choice.

Agreed.. I have dealt with him on several occasions now, plus he is pretty well known throughout the bulldog community for having quality products. He just picked up a new webbing, i think he said two weeks out? That tie dye set he just done was cool.

Come on bro, get it together over there! Pics or it didn't happen :|

He's always been great for us too and the collars are super durable. My only complaint is with the Canadian dollar the way it is right now, his products aren't so cheap for us, but that's way beyond his control. :p

I have the 5 Ply seat belt webbing Green and purple one!!!! :) 2 inch. I feel like it's so thick though? I was thinking of getting the 1.5 inch one instead with neoprene padding. Roxy was about 52.5lbs her last vet check about a month ago 10 months old. Is 2 inches too thick for her or is that better?

Not sure if you can see it or not, in the bottom pic, it looks like Trin has hair loss on her neck, behind the ears and at the base of her neck, it's not, that is that light blonde hair i was talking about in the other thread lol. You can even see it all through her side and on her butt and rear if you look close.

Anyway, this is the 1.5 on her.

Also, the thicker collars for anyone wondering, might feel stiff at first but the more the dog wears it, the softer they get. I remember the first one i bought, i thought dang, this is gonna rub on the dogs shoulders and neck. It will soften up though.

I like the 2" on my dogs. Pig has a long neck so it suits her and Squirt pulls like a freight train so it helps minimize strain on his throat.

That is exactly why i like the 2" on Broly, the longer neck and the pulling. Trin wore the Yeti 2" for months and never broke it in. Broly wore it for about 4 or 5 walks and broke it in. Trin tends to mind her manners a little more though and stays by my side with a loose lead for the most part, every once in awhile she will lean into but nothing like Broly, which i like btw, i like that he leans into it and pulls, he is still mannerly and listens, he is just more alert and driven which i don't really care to train out. Lately we been using a harness but when i do use a collar i like the 2" on my boy..

BC, your dogs are absolutely gorgeous! The collars look great on them!

I tried a harness on Roxy and she was just way too strong for me. It wasn't one of those easy walk harnesses either it was a normal harness. She ended up pulling me so I have this really pretty green harness just hanging on the wall with all their collars and leads... collecting dust...lol
Do you use a regular harness or the easy walk one?
