  1. Got our pair of Staghounds in today finally! Transported in from Texas. All I have to say is.....coyotes, fox, rabbits and hogs better WATCH OUT in the near future, lol. I am SO excited to have the chance to work with these guys. They're settling in now, but I'll have pics up in the next couple days! Anyone else here have a Stag by chance, or any other sighthounds? As far as the sighthounds go, we have these 2 Stags and 1 Whippet lurcher.

I think my 7 yo mix is a Bully Lurcher. In fact, based on where he came from and his history when he was dumped at the shelter - I think his dad was Greyhound/Pit Bull and his mom was a Lab.

I adore him - he's a lot of fun and I wish I had been a better trainer when he was young.

Who knows if I can find another like him. I really like some of the BC/Whippets that have been sired by a friend's whippet. I'd like to toss some SBT in there too.

Teal had some really cool sight hound things! She does not post here to often right now, but maybe I can find some pic's.
  5. lol I will get pics tomorrow for y'all :D

They had a rough past 24hrs and are a lil run down but they're recovering fast! Their mom is a pure Greyhound and sire is a Staghound. Beautiful animals!

    Catchrcall: PICS PLEASE! :)
  12. Okay so here's the female. Haven't taken the male out yet for his photo shoot. She's so darn cute.

I'll have some of the male soon. Here are the parents:
Dam, pure Greyhound, NOT owned by me, this photo belongs to the breeder in TX-

Sire, Staghound, NOT owned by me, this photo also belongs to the breeder in TX-

My female is gonna be rough coated like daddy and the male is gonna be smooth coated like momma. They should so amazing on rabbits, coyotes, fox and hogs! Great all around dogs!

awesome dogs! Always been a HUGE fan of working sighthounds...in my opinion they are generally hideous (but then again I own some ugly ass dogs too), but incredible hunting dogs.

OMG soooo cute. We almost took home a whippet puppy a few months ago, and there's just something about baby sighthounds that I just collapse for.

    One day....

Glad those dogs will get to hunt! There's really none of that around here. The only hunting with dogs around here is waterfowl, and, well, it's pretty limiting. I'm not a huge fan of retrievers, so there goes that.

She is so cute! I think the Dad looks cuter than the mom, all that scruffy face hair is kinda adorable. Although the lack of dead fox is cute too lol. That sounds so awesome in theory but I think I would freak if I saw my dogs kill some wild animal, definitely not that strong of a stomach. Would totally watch it happen on tv without issue though, hah.

Beetle in her vest. She's staghound, wolfhound, and Dogo

I have a picture of her catching a hog somewhere but I'm a half hour into searching for it and the new photobucket is slow as hell.

What is the W for? I've heard people mention like a tattoo type of thing on dogs, but have never seen one before and have no idea what they are there for.

First letter of the last name of the guy that bred her. It's a freeze brand for identification.
