Define "too thin." If a Bully at healthy, fit weight, has a head that looks "too big" for its body...that's a structural issue and the fault of the breeders perpetuating that problem. Not surprising though, considering the majority of Bully breedings are done based on front-shot photos of dogs. Making dogs fat to compensate for lack of body mass is a bandaid.

Thin is ribs no mass and no girth.Have you ever had a real bully??I take it no!A real bully has a massive blocky head, big bone, girth(not a hog type),wide chest, big rears, and a short mussel..It's a beefed up pit .If your trying to make a bully have the same body style as a standard pit !!

"Mass" has nothing to do with being able to see ribs or not. If you can't at least see the outline of the ribs with muscle over them on an adult dog, your Bully is fat.

Yes. I have. Little-known fact about me, actually.

No it's not. It's an overdone AmStaff/Bulldog mix that does not resemble an APBT in the slightest.

Is your dog RE and/or Gottiline? Then he has "that Bulldog crap" in him. Deal with it.

I would say he's pet weight vs overweight, but he could definitely stand to have more definition in his musculature.

Sorry, but no. There's a difference between beefy well muscled dog and a fat one. The issue with with many people not being able to know the difference.

Well muscled dogs show evidence of the use of their muscles as their muscles gain definition. This dog for instance:

There is no muscular definition anywhere on the second dog. It's stomach's huge with a noticeable lack of definition between it's stomach and waistline. The dog on the top is still bully thick without being fat. It's completely possible, most people just seem to think that beefyness means having a fatass dog

You show me a bully at my boys age 15 months who is muscles and cut as him with size..It's genetics pal.I'm the same way, I workout 3 days a week for 1 hour per session and everyone in the gym thinks I take every single pill and supplement on the market.

If your dog is RE and/or Gottiline, HE HAS BULLDOG IN HIM. Get the fuck over it. Yes, he DOES look like he has Bulldog in him. These are American Pit Bull Terriers. Your dog looks nothing like them, "on steroids" or otherwise. Learn and embrace what you actually own, not what you mistakenly think you own.

Ok, my dog is a bulldog happy now?Lol..

You have no clue about a bully so save your posts.

My boy has more muscle on his shoulders then those 2 dogs bodies both combined. If I leaned my dog out like those he would be freaky ripped.

    How old are they??

I do not expect a 15 month old dog to be fully cut, I said he could use more work on his muscle definition. It's not an expectation. No idea what gave you that impression.

Also no one is really concerned with body building supplements here anyway, and while genetics do indeed play a huge part if someone has a dog that is genetically capable of building good muscle and all they do is watch the food bowl all day, that dog is still going to be fat. Let's not kid ourselves. Anyway, I don't really see why you feel the need to beat your chest. I did not say that your dog looked bad. What was said was there's a difference between a beefy dog and a fat dog and most people can't seem to tell the difference because people seem to always be looking for "girth" and "thickness" but that girth/thickness usually means "fat". It is possible to have a dog that is massive without the dog being obese

Are you even real right now? The breeds are two completely different bodytypes. That's like saying a Anderson Silva looks like a starved crackhead because he's not built like Brock Lesnar

Last pic Ill post my boy at 7.5 months old no fat here. His blood and genetics won't allow for that to happen.I'm not beating up my cheat about it but hate when people don't know what there saying.Ever see those people with abs and are ripped??Reason is is they don't eat much food same goes for a dog.If you don't feed him much it will stay leaner but to have a dog thick with cuts is very impressive.

If silva lifted heavy and ate more he could be alot thicker and bigger.Trust me ,I'm in this field.DID you know brock is been juicing for over 10 years with over 3 different drugs used per cycle? Dumb example my friend.

I was going from a purely body type perspective. Silva couldn't get that thick without looking weird as shit. He is not a huge thick guy. It's not his body type. Brock is a huge thick guy, and juiced or not it IS his bodytype. Juicing in this context is fairly irrelevant.

Working/Active type dogs tend to not be as "massive" in bodytype as ones that are not meant for work, either through breed purpose or being a working breed not bred for any working or active purpose. This is a pretty common occurrence. Why this is a thing you're not grasping, I don't know
