Someone said “hard keeper” ???

someone said about their American pit bull terrier, that they are a “hard keeper”. Should this be taken seriously or should someone be alarmed? What does this term mean exactly?

Means the dog is hard to keep. Chews it's house, water and food buckets or digs, barks excessively, escape artists. Etc.
In other words a dog that is a pain in the ass to keep.

Little Dog
could also be a winner of a dog - just clever, high drive and energetic..which requires daily workouts, a firm owner and maybe a job or sport to do.
..not just with pit bulls but any breed, especially working/sporting dogs. people drop top dollar on dogs they think they want - with working lineage and later wonder why the dog tears the crate apart then the furniture after being left alone day in and out.
Thanks Michele and Gk1 for the answers further.

I didn’t know that’s what the term meant. Was thinking something else. But honestly it makes me more interested in the dog
