Figured i would move it here hehe! The HTC phones are great. I gotta say though, it seems all new phones have crap batteries, i knew it would be that way when i seen them making phones where you couldn't replace the batteries anymore.

  2. Yeah I don't know about you but my S7 Edge only lasts 1 or 2 hours of use before I have to recharge it, battery life is pretty crap. If I need to go out I have to turn my phone off and turn it back on when I need to use it which is a pain in the ass, maybe my battery is knackered though idk. I have been eyeing the Google Pixel XL, it has amazing reviews online

I had a feeling they were going that way with the batteries...so many people get "the newest thing" when it comes out and fewer people are keeping their phones around beyond updates. Hell, I had a Samsung Glyde forever, long enough that I'm not even sure...5, maybe 6 years? At least? The only reason I moved to a smartphone was because call functions were starting to no longer work on the Samsung, but until then it was a great little phone. Of course, now I'm attached to the convenience of smartphones, even in a professional capacity.

So sounds like between the HTC and the S7s it's a situation of taking a look at both and deciding which I prefer. I haven't stopped in at a store yet to see which phones are available with an update, so that may make some difference as well. Thanks again!

Phone shopping is one of the few instances where I'm almost totally lost without asking other people about their opinions, haha, so any help is appreciated. I would so much prefer looking for another vehicle or a dog instead: the process and the waiting may be a pain, but I know what I'm looking for and feel pretty confident in my assessments when it comes to those. Phones or computers? All but clueless.

I know with my last phone my battery issues got significantly worse after I all but completely destroyed the screen (I'm thinking that drop also damaged the battery), so it's possible. But I was having issues before, and now with my current phone I'm having similar (but lesser) issues as the last time so...who knows. I know automotive batteries better than I do phone batteries, haha.

I had a experience with my Samsung Galaxy 3 , I thought the battery was gone and I figured time to get a newer phone.I lost my charger and a friend gave me one and you would have thought I put a new battery in my phone.Works great again , it turns out that it was my charger and not the battery.Weird .Charges fast now like when it was new and the charge last .
