He goes by Skippy for short.

Skippy came to our animal hospital as a puppy with parvo. After his owner found out the diagnosis, he was going to put him to sleep the old fashioned way. With a gun. We had him sign Skippy over to us and ever since we've been trying socialize him and find him a proper home.

He's a great boy and has such a personality. Loyal, energetic, playful. Unfortunately, he's not without issues. He is very dog aggressive and territorial. But if you meet him outside of "his area," he's just as sweet as can be with people he knows.

He absolutely needs room to run and a family with no other pets or children. Preferably, he should be in a home with easily trainable parents.

Skippy is 4 years old, neutered and he is completely up to date on all of his vaccines.

Please contact us at our email if you are a loving person that is willing to spend some time working with him in order to have a beautiful, lifelong companion.

So, he is territorial toward humans?

I don't know if I'd really suggest adopting that dog out at all.

He does bark, if he doesn't know you and you come into his area. He gets very excited to see people he loves and wants their attention. He had an appointment recently at another hospital, and he was very well behaved outside of his regular environment. I have to say that he is a special needs dog, and needs a special person.

Forgot to mention, we're here in Miami so he needs a home in either Broward or Monroe county preferably.
