read that article and vote down the stupid people in the comments...it also has a pole on if you agree he should have been stolen...if it was a pit the people would be all for killing, someone posted a good comment and the other 3 are people that I donno...I just don't agree with breaking the law for a dog that bites someone unprovoked...

A bite is a bite is a bite. That's my opinion. Also, this whole thing would not have happened if the owner would have bothered to secure his dog in a manner that would not allow physical contact with passers by. I am pretty dang sure that this was NOT the first time the dog left his yard to bark/jump/nip at somebody.
If one of my dogs was to "nip" or put his teeth on another human's skin while "greeting" the person to the extent of the person needing sutures.. the dog would be dead. Pure and simple. Don't care if it is an APBT, a Lab or a poodle. And at the end of the day *I* would be aware of having failed the dog when I let it run off the property to do that and not excuse it with "he wanted to protect the children".

This whole thing REALLY makes me mad, including the warm and fuzzies about how the dog should be spared. Growling and tensing is not the same as 5 stitches and bleeding from the thumb because somebody didn't like to get jumped on by as dog at large. NONE of my dogs have the last word when I or anybody tells them to back off.
