    Here is my freezer =)
(Mind you it's missing a whole case of chicken quarters, and I made some serious space for the alpaca, whenever we pick that up...)
We also have a chest freezer outside that is currently empty

That's a nice fill Nicole! I have to separate everything immediately when I get it home. I hate dealing with thawing frozen chunks

I am in search for a larger freezer, my taxes will be done this weekend so I should have my federal by next weekend I hope and then I will easily be able to afford a larger one and fill it fast :D

oh yea and when I get a new freezer I can defrost this one before I load the new one up (I hope to get lucky and get something good off craigslist)

Ooooor you can do both! lol That's what I did, I was going to sell my smaller chest freezer (my first one) but decided..HEY the more room the better right? ha ha Now I can fit up to 6 months worth of meat at a time ;)

Here's my pathetic empty freezer. :( It's depressing having an empty freezer, but I have to remember I'm only feeding one dog, who only eats 1lb a day right now. Just sad on so many levels, not having a hoard of meat to last me a year, that safety net and of course, mostly, not having Roxy to feed...

Left basket in containers is beef offal mix, right basket is all fish, probably 15lbs of whole mackarel and smelts and on the bottom I've got chicken necks, feet, some turkey wings, duck necks, beef tongue and beef heart.

I've got about a dozen beef tracheas thawing in the laundry tub right now and I'm picking up buffalo heart/liver and tripe this week so that should fill me up about half way.

Well....I went to pick up my bulk order today, and I didn't really have enough room for my stuff in my two freezers,...so I used my people freezer..take a look at what I did lol

This is all the stuff in the car on the ferry going home

This is my stand up freezer door (it's 21 cu ft)

This is the rest of the freezer

This is my chest freezer outside (about 7 cu ft)

This is the outside of it so you get a gist of how tall it is

This is the "people" freezer...(our stuff is on the door lol)

and this is my fridge...I am probably going to give another raw feeder the rest of this stuff.

    Too...much...meat >.<

The veal hearts I got for 1.25/lb I believe. But everything including travel expenses, my whole order comes out to 1.21/lb

anyone have a guess on how many pounds of meat a 9 cubic ft chest freezer will hold? I have a line on about 100 spent hens want to make sure I can hold all before I commit.
  20. _unoriginal

    _unoriginal Cow Dog

Well my 7.2 can hold about 250# give or take depending on packaging and how hard I try to be efficient when it comes to space use.
