    HI,

I am very curious as to how one would/should/has to care for Show Bullies. How much time do you have to spend with the dogs. How much training do they need. How /where should you keep them? Would it be ok to have them in crates in a dark garage? if so, for how many hours can one leave them in there? How much socialization do they require? Does it require a license if one has more than 4 Bullies?
I know these are some weird questions, but there is a reason behind it. Before I get more into depth, I would like some answers to those questions IF possible.

    Thank you so much

You're right, these are strange questions. I'm curious as to the reasoning behind them before providing answers. Plus, "show bullies" is vague and I'm not sure what you mean, exactly.

Planning to start your very own Bully show-mill? Those aren't weird questions, they're actually disturbing ones.

well I have been watching someone who has at least 7-8 Bullies ( the short stocky ones). The dogs are being kept in his garage in crates. I never see them but twice a day for about 2 min. I contacted several different officials, including Animal Well Fare. Animal Well Fare says they went there once, the guy showed them Ribbons, they are "Show Bullies" (thats what he told the ANimal Officer) Nothing is being done because the Officer feels like they are "Healthy" and saw only 3 dogs when going for a well fare check...well duh, they left a note on the door that they are coming for a check.....I find it not only weird but very disturbing that Dogs, that are supposedly for shows, are kept in a darkened garage in crates at least 23 hrs a day. That is why i was asking those question. I have also witnessed him kicking one dog (female dog) and he hit another inside of his car. I really need some answers. As I said they have at least 7 - 8 Bullies, 2 are puppies. I know that in my state you are not allowed more than 4 adult dogs, unless you have a kennel license. IF anyone can help me find answers or has some answers for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

If they've already been checked out and deemed to be in good health and not neglected then mind your own business. You don't have eyes on them 24/7, unless you really have no job or life. And you're not inside the house to see what's going on.. You don't know so leave them alone.

WOW really nice folks here. No they are not done with the investigation. And all I asked was, WHAT is the proper care for Show Bullies....btw..I hear them barking, howling, scratching the crates..and yes i am at home the majority of the time, but that doesnt mean I dont have a life...furthermore, I live right across and unfortunately have a clear view.
I cant tell everything, but i did tell the main part on this issue. Anyway...appreciate the rudeness, very appropriate to talk to someone you don't even know, in that manner.

What if its a puppy mill? funny how ya jumped to conclusions when i asked questions, suggesting I try to run a puppy mill or something, and now i am being told to mind my own business just because i am very concerned? Very Professional on your part.

You have a clear view into their "dark garage?"

Listen, I have seen lots of bad things happening to dogs, I have rescued quite a few....I am concerned and thought I could find some answers. The windows of the garage are covered up with cardboard. A neighbor has a clear view of the garage and can see inside WHEN it is opened for cleaning. Those people are never home except for a short time in the morning to clean the garage of feces, the dogs come out for a couple of minutes, then the person leaves again until late nights, and does the same thing...clean the garage and let the dogs run one time around the back yard and leaves. This is not a normal behavior.

Most of my dogs' exercise is done inside. I'm glad you're not my neighbor or you'd have called the authorities on me ages ago.

LOL so much ignorance ....Im sure you walk your dogs and let them play, like normal dog owners do correct? so you wouldnt have to worry about that......

I know your intentions may be good, but until you see these things with your own eyes, you cant do much. I know you say you hear them but sounds may tell different stories. My boy will cry and try breaking out of his crate. If my neighbors only went off of sound alone, they would also think i had a dog fighting pit in my backyard due to the horrific sounds of my two playing. So you cant only judge from what you "think" may be happening. They may be inside the house on a treadmill or playing inside during the night. You just dont know. My dogs do sometimes spend 12 hours in a crate during the day while im at work. Until you have proof of a reason to worry, i would leave it alone.

its senseless to talk to you because to me, you dont show the least compassion. I take it that No One here is competent enough or has the knowledge to answer my questions, but instead be rude and disrespectful to a person who is concerned about the well being of dogs, who can't speak for themselves...instead of giving some useful advice or say "Sorry, we dont have the answers to your question", or "Maybe this kennel or this group can help you". you rather tell me to mind my own business? That is cold. I dont exercise my dogs inside, they are outside with me, socializing, playing, training.....unless you have a huge studio available to exercise a dog inside, with trees and bushes and a lawn, running on a treadmill isn't all a dog needs ...
BTW...because of a lot of idiots who DONT give a rats a@# , who DONT have true compassion, many dogs are being abused, neglected, killed.

This forum is hardly uncompassionate, but you yourself are being rather combative.

If animal welfare has investigated, then trust their investigations. If you see animal abuse happening, such as a dog being beaten, record it as evidence, but don't slide into stalking because then it will be you being arrested. You won't be able to help anything in prison.

I'm sure most of the members of this forum do have the answers to your questions but no one is interested in helping the Nosey Nancy across the street.

And I don't have a yard so my dogs run stairs and we train inside. But hey, you never bothered to ask what I do because you'd rather jump to conclusions and potentially ruin someone's life because you don't have the facts.
