    I have a 1000 thoughts/questions!

What are these? (It looks like when you magnify bacteria or a virus on a microscope)

I love that this snakes eye keeps the pattern of it's face. Is there another (more vibrant) snake in the tank with it, or is that a different part of the same snake?

Why does one of these look wrinkly and the other looks bloated? (they're the same kind right?) Is one pregnant?

WHAT is this? It is very pretty. Please tell me it's a fall (themed) viper, lol.

Awesome pics, I was hoping to hit a reptile show a few hours from me a couple weeks ago but vet bills put a end to that idea. Although it looks like that one I didn't miss much, balls, corns and geckos, nothing too exciting. I really want to go to a big show with some variety. I think I would come home with way too many new animals though.

2nd set of pics, the snake between the blue dart frogs and the tortoise, what is that one?

The BP that I had for a little while had this same sort of rainbowish/oil slick look to it. What's it called? Is there a reason for it-or something people breed towards?

In terms of snakes being wild, it's my understanding that they would want to stay low key...not visible. If that's true, what would be the purpose of the coloring on this kind of snake. Or is this a snake that has been bred to specifically look this way?

Lastly, just like CK9 my husband is in love with chameleons...but we know nothing about them-where could we (should we) start our research? Do you have to get them from a breeder? Are reptile breeders similar to dog breeders?

Iridescence is that oil slick look, some species have it more than others, rainbow boas are usually what people love for that trait.

I think that yellow and black snake is a baby and will change to less flashy colors.

Reptile breeders yes just like dog breeders, there are reputable and non reputable and many that just buy and flip animals. You can check fauna classifieds forum and search dealers to see reviews or just google them, if there's been issues they usually are brought up somewhere.

That yellow snake IS going to stay that pretty, it is a JAGUAR carpet python, reptile breeders breed for color morphs that would not occur in the wild, i happen to own a jaguar carpet python, this is what they look like as adults..

Those worms are Blue Horn Worms

The picture where you were wondering if there were "two snakes" no, it is one snake called a red tail boa, their tail is more vibrant, here is a picture

The black snake you posted is called a Black lipped python

And the viper is a Eyelash Viper :)

I would go to reptile forums and look up care sheets on Chameleons (AND the different species of chameleons) and see if they are a fit.. I have never been interested in owning one but from what i have been told they are more of a "looking" pet than one you hold. I would avoid getting from a petstore and go to a breeder either online or go to a show.. I prefer vendors who will let you inspect the animals and are more than willing to answer any questions if they seem to be rushing you like they cannot be bothered to answer your questions, i would move on :)

Oh geez.... as if I needed this temptation. How fucking ironic that the day after posting about wanting a chameleon our store got a shipment in. We havent been carrying these guys until now...
