Registration Pit or Bully...

Discussion in 'General Dog Discussions' started by sandraandjeff, Aug 24, 2019.

  1. I have a female supposedly bought as a Bully. Her UKC papers say american pitbull terrier. The people said she was Bully...
This was sorta of a rescue. We have her papers.
    What do you think...

You can request a transfer from APBT to AmBully, but I don't believe you can reverse it, this would compromise the UKC APBT whereas AmBullies are still a breed in progress.

When bullies were first becoming popular UKC and ADBA registered them through false papers.
The people crossing the breeds would use fake papers of pit bulls to register their crossbreeds.
UkC and ADBA were making money off of these fake papers and didn't do anything about them until pit bull breeders started leaving them. They have tried to get rid of the bullies from their registerations but there were just too many of them.
You can still find UKC papers on bullies but the experienced pit bull people can take one look at the dog and the papers and avoid them. The people without any experience with the pit bull breed do not know the difference.

  4. There is another problem; we lost the original permanent registration form but the vet has a copy of it and of course the UKC doesnt accept copies. I have tried contacting the breeder but no success.
    So im thinking were stuck?
