I am working with a friend of mine (certified dog trainer) To become a dog walker with the ultimate goal of entering the dog training profession, as such I am wondering if anyone here has recommended Reading materials in particular relating to dealing with reactivity of all forms. Thanks a bunch!

I've heard lots of good things about "Control Unleashed" but I have not read it myself.

My all time favorite book about dog training is the culture clash by jean donaldson. You can find it on Amazon or pretty much anywhere else.

I would recommend "Controlled Aggression" by Jerry Bradshaw. It's written as a training guide for training protection dogs and is a standard required reading in many police K9 training programs. Although it deals mostly in teaching "controlled" aggression many of the principles and theories are applicable to all areas of dog training.

Not specific to reactivity, but written with a great understanding of bully dogs: When Pigs Fly: Training Success with Impossible Dogs by Jane Killion.
