Raw Journey - Puppy Edition

Hey there! So after months and months of research, I have decided to feed my baby boy (4 months old), raw. I knew about raw feeding before and I had a lady who was AWESOME and did pre-mixed raw for my now 2 year old (he ate raw only for the first 8 months of his life) ... but I guess raw is becoming more popular and her prices have literally tripled. I refuse to pay that much just to convenience myself, so for the first time ever I will be doing this solo! I've done a boat load of research on different suppliers and meat markets in the South FL area, so if you are down here and would like info just let me know. On the flip side, if you have info that you would like to share with me about any suppliers in the area, or even markets that ship, that would be greatly appreciated also!

My 4 month old is currently undergoing tx for red mange/demodex (I know, I'm upset/heartbroken) so I won't do the switch until after his tx is over, so roughly about 2 months. I'll take this time to prepare myself for the raw road ahead. He's currently eating TOTW bison puppy, and my 2 year old is eating the same but the adult version.

I'll be kind of using this thread as a blog, trying to keep it as updated as I can so that I can get as much feedback as possible. I'm probably making this into something a lot bigger than what it is but I just wanted to see people to see the journey in real time, especially since he is a puppy. I think it'd be cool to watch!

    Thanks :)

Welcome and good luck with the switch!

Feeding homemade raw is tremendously cheaper than buying premade. Are you feeding whole or did you buy a grinder?

I'm definitely gunna buy a grinder, it'll just make storage a lot easier for me and that way. I should be getting one by next week... I already know which one I want so I'm super excited!
