haha he is a weight pulling dog, and he would be a hog dog if it were legal here in AZ. Well he definitely has more muscle than the first dog, just not such a good head.

if you know please tell me because me and some friends and some other members of this forum were trying to get a hog hunting group together for the dogs, but my friend (Hogar) said that the javalina are considered big game and we could not find anything about dogs hunting them, maybe I should contact fish and game myself and ask...

I have some on my profile, but I need to get new ones since those are almost a year old.
I will be downloading more soon and have been trying to take pictures and video of him playing ball and other activities... But you try recording or taking a good picture of an EBT by yourself!! Its not easy cause they are always moving! :D

BTW, I would love to get Owen into some weight pulling and other activities like that but I don't know where to look for that stuff. Do you have any suggestions of where to look for something in my area?? (White Ga)

both dogs above are black brindles, see how much cleaner the red is on the tri?
  9. Since this thread has been revived....I'll go ahead and comment. Hucklebutt, I think your dog looke GREAT. I definatley don't see him needing more weight. He has no spine hip or ribs showing and his coat is well. He has nice shoulder definition and from the first pic I can see good muscle in his rear. Of course we both know he's too 'athletic' for the ring, but in general he is a real good lookin dog IMO. Shiner will be kept that way as well. I've started weight pull training with him already, slowly, and he shows promise. If you lived in my neck of the woods, we have PLENTY of hogs out here that need eradicated. Shiner will get to catch every now and then as well. Anyway......nice lookin dog!

his weight isnt so much the issue in the show ring, but when I put him in the ring he was at least 20 pounds smaller than the average, even at his highest weight at 60, but it is his head that was poor. He has a dip beneath the eyes and a much too snipey face. Luckily the judge I showed under used to breed bull terriers and was very patient for my first time, because bowzer was being unruly and wild (i did have his ball there) and she had to tell me to put the ball behind me because he was jumping about like an idiot. Lol. Ellie loved showing, but her bite is too poor to ever take her anywhere, and she did a fancy jump in mid air during her prance, the judge laughed. Scarlett did great, as I was told under all breed she would, won a point but really had zero expression during her time in the ring, she was incredibly bored with it. LOL.

You should show ellie more, if she enjoyed it! who cares if she doesnt make big points showing, you can gain not only excperince, but have some fun with her too!
even if i had a faulted dog who enjoyed showing i would still show, even if we never gained a single point and never won still sounds like fun!

no black brindle is like the color of your pups dad and the ones on this thread. Brindle is where the dog is all brindle (stripes all over) charity shows in vegas with akc for all breed are a couple times a year, sometimes got to go to surrounding states.
