With the warm weather approaching, more and more people are leaving their dogs out unattended these days. Here in Indy we have had a rash of "dog attacks" within the past couple of weeks. Some provoked and other not provoked. Of course each time the new media is labeling these dogs pit bulls and of course the community as a whole is condemning the breed. Most of the time if we are able to actually see the dog or a picture of the dog after it has been shot by law enforcement, it is not an APBT, but some mix. AND often not even a mix of any of our bully breeds.

We have been trying to educate as much as possible in our area of the city and it seems to be helping. But other areas are getting crazy these days.

I recently found this web site and have started posting it to the news releases to try to get people to understand that just because it is a dog and it bites does not make it a pit bull. That most people wouldn't know a pit bull if it walked up and licked their hands.

Have you guys seen this site? And how many picks did it take you to get it right?

    Took me 3.

We have this hanging up at work (shelter). People almost never get it right on the first try.
