my female is right at 4 months old. She weighed 20lbs on the dot today. Is this average, below or above average? Also, has anyone's Pit ever MORE than doubled their 4 month weight when fully grown. Was hoping she'd end up around 50lbs or so. Obviously it's not a big deal if that doesn't happen. Just kind of curious wht to expect.

Show a few pics of her. Her body condition is more important then actuall weight. She should also be leaning out of the chubby puppy phase now also. For what it's worth, if I remember correctly my dog was 28 pounds at 4 months. He was a little chubby. He is just over a year now at 48/50 pounds. she is a healthy energetic pup is what really matters right now.

Only one of my dog's weighed more than double what he weighed at 4 months, he was a hand reared pup and a late developer. All the rest were from 2-5lb under double upon maturity. I reckon she'll be about 35-38 when full grown.

That's the weight I was predicting too. Only time will tell. Either way she's awesome!

lovely looking pup. looks well fed. i wouldnt be to worried about them been over weight at this age. they will soon burn it off running and playing. if it was under weight then id worry.
plenty of time to turn that puppy fat into muscle when its older.
keep doing what your doing. plenty of good food and playing.

Maybe a little bit thicker if you feed her proper nutrition. She can and will get fat if you feed her too much.

She could do. Only my late developer is noticeably bigger now than what he was at a year of age.

  14. I hope that she does get a little bigger she's pretty small

  15. I feed her 2 1/2 cups a day with a weight gain diet mixed with her bully max
