Pretty chickens

    Aren't they beautiful?
    This big fat one came from a feeder bin, she can't fly i feel so bad for her, she was bred to be too large

    By the way the big feeder hen is the friendliest and will sit on your lap for a long time to be pet!

    I used to ALWAYS get those fowl critters confused with tuna though ... (chicken of the sea)

    I'm still working on the DH to let me have some:( I have him ok with goats, finally. My brother has some and the smallest one lays the biggest eggs. Mmmmmmmm. Fresh, organic, truly free range eggs.

    They are gorgeous! I miss my birds so much. I gave them to my aunt when I moved back to town. Turns out I can keep up to two in town with me. I'll probably wait for the spring to get more. Bantam Cochins are my favorite but I've had just about any common breed you can think of.

    Is it true you can tell what color eggs a hen will lay based on the color of their ear lobes?
