I just got a 10 week old half pitbul half chihuahua mix doggy and was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this mix before or owns one as well. If so please post pictures I'm sooo curious as to how my little guy will turn out

I know I dont really see it either...but thats what they told us when we got him. Who knows tho...oh well all that matters is that I love him <3
I see it cause I see the same adorable face my pithuahua had as a pup I'm interested in seein what your little guy looks like now my guy is 9 months and is 20 lbs and the love of my life

Due to the big size difference in the two you might run into some health issues. Cute pup!
I can't believe this, why would someone do that? I hope the mom was the pitbull, I don't even want to imagine a chihuahua trying to push out those puppies. And the name that was made up for it is stupid. I would call it a chihua-bull.
thanks i think he is handsome too! on the other hand Chico's mom was the chihuahua, from what i know the father had gotten out of his yard and got the chihuahua, she had 6 pups and yes she almost died, she made a full recovery thank goodness. it was a sad way of getting this breed. i feel bad for how chico came about but would not give him up for the world!! the other name for this breed is chipit

I'm glad the mum survived! Sad how she had to go through that but at least it all ended well. Did they ever fix the mum? Please share more photos?
im not sure if mom got fixed i got chico from a friend that told me about how chico came about and sure IMAG0015.jpgIMAG0025.jpgIMAG0102.jpg

Wow that's really scary that the female was a chihuahua.

For what it's worth, though, pithuahua and chipit are not breeds. Your dog is a chihuahua/pit bull cross bred.

S/he is cute though :)

Cute puppies here! I'd imagine that your little pup will turn out looking like a smaller pit bull like Chico. I've heard of this cross in the past but haven't seen many pictures of them. I found a BYBer's website in CA years ago that was marketing this cross. It is so sad.

my advice would to be to make sure you keep up with the vet as your puppy grows to make sure everything is growing properly skelatal wise. while your puppy is adorable my concern is with health that is not always seen when medium breeds cross breed to tiny breeds because the development of the 2 breeds are so different and it could cause the offspring issues.

i do hope that the owner of the parents truely had an oops and is taking precautions or fixed the dogs so that doesn't happen again.

It sounds like a big no-no breeding and a walking vet bill, but this thing sure is cute...

This is probably the better scenario...

My youngest son's female pit was mounted by a pomeranian(he could not find the ladder that the pom used tho lol). He calls the pups "piteranians" lol. Picture the long snout and tall upstanding ears of the pomeranian and the rest of the dog is APBT. My sister in law has a female and she is the size of the pom and weighs about 8lbs. She chases squirrels up trees, kills them and brings them back to her backyard.
