"Pitbulls" (a question of opinion)

    "Pitbulls" (a question of opinion)

I'm hoping to get an American Bully in the future sometime, so out of curiosity I was looking for breeders in my area online. Lots of breeder websites around here sell "pitbulls" even though they're obviously American Bullies.

So, just a curious question: Would you personally buy an American Bully from an ethical breeder who sells their dogs as "pitbulls" even if the dogs were healthy, from Bully bloodlines, and great examples of the American Bully breed? Why or why not?

there are many who do acknowledge their dogs as Bullies on not pit bulls. It just takes time to find them. Not to mention, many AmBullies have UKC peds that list them as APBT. Im hoping the recent recognizing of the AmBully by the UKC will encourage people to change what they call their dogs.

Its annoying for sure. But for me, the biggest factor in considering a prospective breeder is the structure and price of their dogs. A breeder can correctly call their dogs bullies, but still charge an arm and a leg for pups! The dogs might be labels as APBT by the breeders, But I know what it is and I will register them accordingly.

No. Because there is no such thing as an ethical breeder who sells their American Bullies as APBTs.

    This.

Also unless you plan of showing I would look into rescue. There is a ton of AmBully type dogs in shelters up here and you wont have to pay an arm and leg for one.

Just to clarify - I'm not buying any dogs anytime soon. I'm just curious what everyone else would do.
