Penny no love me

My boyfriends dog penny is a very sweet dog and really liked me up until recently. I dont know why but randomly i tried to pet her and she lunged at me trying to bite me. I dont know what i did. She used to let me hold her and pet her without problem. I even picked her up once or twice. Please help i wanna fix this because Penny reminds me of my recently deceased dog Peanut. P.S. Penny is a pretty old chiwawa and she is only hostile to me.

Chi Super Dog
Let the dog come to you. Chihuahua's tend to bond to only one person. Have you taken the dog to the vet to make sure there are no medical issues? She might have arthritis, being she is an old dog.
