Discussion in 'Patterdale Terrier' started by WorkingBullTerrier, Jun 22, 2012.

  1. Yay! Now I can read and post about all my dogs in the same forum! :)

Who else here has Patterdales? I know I've seen a few! My husband has 2 males right now, and I have a female. Two of the three are pups just starting out. They are really unbelievable dogs. The true definition of terriers! Here's a shot of my little female pup "Gumbeaux"....haven't seen all that many with her markings. My husbands other two are black. I'll get better pics of her soon. She lookes 'under the influence' in this pic haha.

Patterdales interest me. I know nothing about them.
A couple of years ago, I SWEAR I saw one at an ADBA event doing weight pull LOL
At least I think it was a Patterdale ... little fella was trying his heart out !!!
  14. Thank you all for the nice comments :) Yeah even my husband's adult male is uniquely colored. In the sun, he actually has red colored points! It's crazy. Yeah I think my lil' black and tan is friggin awesome! I hope she turns out well!

And yes, there are certainly Patts who do weightpull!

It sounds like genetically he's a tan point, too then. (there are no red points, genetically :) ) That's awesome!

For some reason, Joe's WP story reminded me of when I randomly met a Jagd when I was working as a cashier... The woman was about 3 folks back in my line, and I just screamed out, "THAT'S A JAGD!" Everyone was REALLY confused LOL When it was the lady's turn, I started drilling her on the dog.. and she just held up a hand and said, "Honey, all I know is my son paid a LOT of money to import this dog from Germany, then up and left him to join the army! What breed did you say he is?" I begged her to give him to me. But she wouldn't :(

I had never even heard of Patterdales or Jagds until I joined this forum. How do you even pronounce "Jagd"??
  19. I believe it's supposed to be pronounced like "yag" someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
