Well since we have snakes and lizards that eat rodents, we decided to start a colony of breeder rats. Just so we dont have to spend so much on rodents in the long run..

This was Captain Rat-Face when we first spared him from the feeding rats lol

    He has grown some

He is a good rat, very outgoing and friendly

These are his girls I got from the same friend who gave me him

Havnt named her yet, but the BF is very partial to her

This is Honey Badger, you can guess how she got the name lol

Here is a video of them acting like I am the greatest thing they have ever seen

Well you will get attached to some more than others, I know the only one who probably wont get fed off when they get old out of these three would be the rex female, the BF wouldnt let that happen.
But you gotta remember why you got them and their job and when they dont produce most will feed them off so they dont get all old and sad and die lol I would rather feed them off before the old age sets in and other health issues start.

Thanks, he stuck out really well in the box of feeders from my friend, then his personality got my attention and I just couldnt feed such a charismatic little thing to the snake lol

Thanks Renee :) Yep, we will be building them a rack and getting some more so we have a variety of genes

Thanks I will, I just wanted to introduce the ones we have cuz they are awesome :P

Yea she will be kept, probably even after she is spent because she is just so sweet. Yep she is a dumbo rex, just like her dad. Honey Badger is a dumbo as well.

I think she has an ear infection so we are gonna start treatment on that, I am hoping its an ear infection and not something else. She acts dizzy and lists to one side, my friend says thats probably what it is so we will be doing ACV and colloidal silver to get that in order.

Lol yea most people cant, they get way to attached to them ALL. I dont have that problem lol but I know we will be having keepers from our colony as well as some from my friends.
