Other breed section?

Just a thought, would it be possible for us to get a sub forum for other breeds that aren't bully breeds? Seeing how a lot of members have other breeds, and some of us don't own a Bull breed..but are researching the bull breeds. But just a place where can post about our other breeds

I was actually thinking something along these lines too, and maybe a topic thread for members who owns and loves their no pedigree dogs. I see all the time arguments from members trying to tell someone else their dog is a mutt just because the dog doesn't have papers. There are a good handful of members here that do not believe such things and it would be nice to have a haven to go and post and not worry about our dogs being called mutts just because thats what someone else believes. Just like there is an American Bully thread only for those interested, a mixed breed thread would be nice too for those who are interested.

If your dog has no papers, there's no way to know if it's purebred or not.


But anyway, an "Other" breed section would be a good idea. I know we have quite a few members here with dogs other than Pit Bulls that would probably like that.

My case in point. To you there is no way to tell with out papers. To me papers are only as good as the breeder doing them. I can look at a lab with out papers and tell if its pure or not. I can look at a GSD and tell if it's pure or not without papers. Again, it would be nice to have a section so we can avoid this kind of argument with our dogs. A lot of people don't want to hear their dogs are mutts because they have no idea where they came from.

Mmk.. didn't know you were a purebred expert LOL. If being "purebred" was solely based on looks, Wilson & Piper would be purebred dogs, because I can't tell you how many times I've had to argue to people that they AREN'T.

But now I'm going OT. And I'm not supposed to do that.

How about take this BS off my thread where I'm suggesting for a forum for us with you know Beagles, Labs, Shelter Mutts, Dachshunds and GSD's and make your your own whiney thread about how much you know about un-papered and papered dogs please, since you know you're the master and forum know it all

I think it's a horrible idea. The forum was never meant to be a peddling forum for anything. Go to craigslist or hoobly. Great way to turn the forum into a turd hole.

How is talking about our mutts peddling? I don't want to breed or promote breeding and selling of mutt dogs.

This thread....it is a foreshadow as to what would happen.

I also can not fathom why or how someone can tell by looking if a dog is purebred. This is unproven, and to continue posting such is misleading to readers, lurkers, etc.
The purpose of PBC is to educate and show proper ownership of Pit Bull breeds....forums for discussing how their unpapered dog is a purebred is irresponsible.

I see there are still some very closed minded members on this forum. You have the right to what ever you want but when someone else suggest something its automatically subjected to being a bad idea. Not everyone believes what you do, and I think its very poor to tell someone their dog is a mutt, even if it looks just like the breed because it doesn't have papers. Papers can be just as misleading as a dog that doesn't have them. I don't know why you even advocate papers as being a for sure way of knowing what a dog is because it isn't. With as many hung papers that are out there, It just doesn't make sense. I'm not the only one either that thinks this way and having a forum for mutts and unpapered dogs would be nice, even if it is a private thread like the Am bully thread.

I guess I can see that becoming an issue.. I was thinking it would be more geared toward those with other breeds, like the members with GSD's, Labs, etc., not ones with Pit Bull mixes (like myself).

Although as I said, I was thinking of it more as a section for those that don't have Pit Bull type dogs, so I wouldn't think it'd turn into a "My dog is purebred even though it doesn't have papers so THERE!" but, who knows!

It's not close-minded. If a dog doesn't have papers, there is no way to tell if it's purebred or not. That's like saying that all of the Pit Bulls in shelters are purebred just because they look like an APBT.

I know why you're sensitive about it, because you consider Jud purebred, don't you?

I just meant a forum for the non bull breed and bull breed mixes of the forums. Not the bullies or peddlers. I meant for people like me who owns a Rottie, Lab mix and a Beagle but does NOT own a Bully Breed or Bully breed mix.

Not like LP who seems to think she has a pure APBT without the papers O_O
