The mom looks so pretty! I hope the OP takes the advice about asking for health testing. I have my doubts though.
  2. Nope he sure didn't. I am having the tests done on him through my vet. Also, my dog was a gift to me from dear friends, I didn't pay for him ;-pI don't believe Runamuk health tests their stock either, that is why I am SURELY having Shiner's done, aside from that being the responsible thing to do.

On average, how much do these tests cost?
  4. Not sure if your breeder is the one on puppyfind.com, but the sire of your puppy is shown with one breeder http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listi...page%3D1&sid=8404c8d3fcfd5e73b2e388f5070a3c95().

And speaking of selling dogs on the internet, I was saddened to see Hucklebutt's Bowser on Hoobly.com for $300 (http://www.hoobly.com/aKBVUR72/bull-terrier-for-adoption.htm).

Your right he is on there for adoption, but this is because I was hopeful in finding him an only dog home, nothing wrong with me looking to see whats out there for him option wise. Its highly unlikely that I would find the right person for him, considering his issues and i've already turned people away. You don't know my situation. If there was the right person out there for him with no other dogs that wanted to have a high drive dog in there life I would not be opposed to rehoming him, but as I said, they would have to meet a lot of stipulations. But this is scamming the OP thread, and no reason to do that.

Because of the drama on this forum im going to offer the OP to join a different forum.

Nothing never amazes me any more where Hucklebutt is concerned ,i mean in the past shes not only bred pups on their fist heats ,but never done a health test in her life nor would care to , I looked through her photobucket account once she even see pics of her breeding bowser to an APBT
People like her make me sick ,these types of people are what can ruin breeds .
She not wired up right ,cant believe shes got the neck to show her face on any forum, let alone give advise on our breed that she dont give two fcuks about !
    She makes me sick
Is this a forum for back yard breeders that agree with your type of breeding ethics you've got up to ?
Maybe a few of the people on this forum should PM the OP and just let them know the type of person thats giving them advise .
You aint qualified to give advise on my/our breed D ,in fact i dont know what your qualified at .

Very surprised to see Bowser up for adoption. Do not know your situation but perhaps now you can see what becomes of dogs that have high drive and special needs. This is why I personally like a more sedate bully and a couch potato that everyone can cuddle with and the reason I have always tried to talk you out of going down that road. I know of your recent breeding debacle and how hard the losses must have been but I think it was another lesson in the hardships of breeding. I was glad to see that you shared on facebook. It will definitely help others. Perhaps someone else will take a moment to question if breeding is such a wise decision.
Very disappointed that you did not mention health testing when OP asked about the parents of his new puppy.
We all have so much more that we can learn about both this breed and breeding in general. I've shared the links numerous times and perhaps maybe it's time that you start directing those that you want to help to these links also.

I have NEVER bred my dog to a pit bull, I would NEVER do that, you have no proof.
Yes, Tom thank you for the advice on the puppy, it helped me make the right choice, I was talking so fast when I called you, I had to calm down I was shaking really bad. Breeding is not all rainbows and butterflies, its dangerous, and often tragic. I know people who have had tons and tons of litters without a hint of problems, but its so unrealistic. If the OP has his heart set on a puppy hes going to do what he feels like doing, give your advice and move the hell on, some people on here are trolls, and keyboard warriors, it just makes them look silly in the end and no one takes it to heart.

Bowzer will NEVER leave my home unless someone truly comes along that I think is a perfect match for him, hes not an easy dog to handle, and I could just as easily offer him for free to the first idiot that comes along, but I have been through hell and back with that dog and your damn right I will only do whats absolute best for him, you better believe it!! I met a guy that wanted Bowzer so bad, when I met the guy he attempted to "wrestle" with him, and Bowzer bit him, your damn right I told that guy no, but I did help that guy find a bullie that needed a home that was more docile and less human aggressive. All my dogs have a drive somewhere in them, but Bowzer has a drive for damn near everything and is extremely reactive. With my given situation he doesnt get much time out, I would love for the right person to come along but its highly unrealistic, and if thats the case, he will never leave.

Tom whats likely you saw was bowzer bred to a VERY snipey head bitch, a very lean, flat headed working bull terrier from a farm years ago, that breeding never took, she was indeed a bull terrier, but I guess she didnt look much like a bull terrier, the female your referring to is this girl...

  10. First of all, I didn't mention Bowzer on Hoobly to cause problems. Just sad to see. But if I were serious about finding a home for my beloved dog, I sure as hell wouldn't put a $300 price tag on him in a Hoobly ad. I would go to the experts at a BT rescue and look for help. I would expect to PAY to ensure his future well-being, not profit from it.

Secondly, and I will probably get flamed for saying this, but if I had a human aggressive BT, I would have him put down. These dogs are too powerful to be unsafe around people. Someone's gonna get hurt bad, and it could even be you.

And finally, I cannot imagine anyone who is even remotely familiar with the BT breed confusing the picture you posted as being an APBT.

I think you have confused me with someone else. I made no mention of Bowser being bred to any dogs. See how easily things can get confusing on the internet?

not you tom i was referring to pedigree about the breeding thing. east coast canuck i have spoken to the rescue in vegas, they know if anyone with the right personality to let me know. Bowzer is not like what you think, he doesnt go around looking to chomp on people lol, hes very protective over me, and thats my fault, i was young and stupid when i got him, and i wanted him to be a little protective over me, and i got more than i bargained for, a bull terrier cant be a little of anything. He bit that other guy because that guy was actually encouraging bowzer to wrestle with him and play fight with him, and that was his mistake, bowzer is rough like many bull terriers can be, mouthty as well, even after that he still wanted him and it was obvious they werent a good match. I live in las vegas, and bowzer has indeed protected me over some very sketchy people, and that to me is not warranted for euthanasia. However, if he ever does concern me enough with human aggression I would make that choice.

Danielle, how many reactive bull terriers have you created through breeding your reactive dog. Why? I just don't understand... Also very sad to see Bowzer being rehomed.

You may end up spending a lot more money on a cheaper pup with parents who weren't health tested because of vet bills, you'll save a lot of time and money getting a dog from a breeder who health tests
