    Thanks for all the input. What type of lens would you recommend me to add to my wishlist next...if I was moving up a level (after awhile)?

    A 35mm or 50mm prime lens. And these are popular focal lenghts, so you can easily find them on a budget price.

    I agree I kept my 18-55 when I sold my d5000 I like the lens for a kit lens it does well

    Oh and I love my Nikon 55-300mm Lens it's super sharp
